It's one of the new privacy features that is included with the iOS 14 update. It also known as a "recording indicator" that shows when an app has access to your mic or camera.
The green dot means it has access to your camera and it indicates that the camera is in use. The orange dot means it has access to your microphone (mic) and it indicates that the microphone is in use.
