The actual Budweiser beer was brought to America by a German, and the company was started by a German, but the actual beer came from Bohemia, Czechoslovakia, The Czech Republic and today called, Czechia. It was from a small town called Ceske Budejovice, which the Germans called Budweis. The American made version has been altered after legal battles, but it is a copy of the original Budweiser that was made in that town, as well as Pilsner is made not far from there in a Czech town named Plezn. The original Budweiser was being made as far back as the 13th century, Bohemia was known for its lagers....

Budweiser is a great and underrated beer. I know there are a ton of beers out there, but this is a classic and is always on my top American beer list. Drinking one right now. =)
The original Budweiser came from a town in Bohemia (modern Czechoslovakia) called Budweis. It was a town where Germans and Czechs lived together as Bohemians or Budweisers.
Curious how different in taste are today's US lagers in comparison to those in late 19th century. Is it possible that Budweiser drinked by Anheuser and Busch in their times was the same thing as it is today?
That having been said, I'm Australian and the simular "cheap" beers we have out here are pretty shit, even compaired to Bud. I actually like Bud... but my favourite beer is Kronenbourg 1664....
Try the real one from the czech rep. Budvar! In german; Budweiser. Then off to the US...Twice stolen. Budvar. Find it. It is the original one! A quazillion times better, maybe too tasty compared to the US "Wharmpizz-mybeerisamineralwater -brewing-culture"! :-) Budvar, golden wrap. That's what I got for a sip, when I was a kid... License should never have been sold, sorry guys! ;-P
Dang, Budweiser must have been pretty good in the day... wonder what's gone wrong? Perhaps Budweiser just hasn't bothered revised it's recipe for modern beer tastes? Or they now source cheaper ingredients for the otherwise exact same recipe? They just don't seem to care about it anymore these days.

The history of carbonated urine would be a better title for this video. A-B company is no longer an American owned company, and their beverages sucked long before they hired a man claiming to be a young girl.
Beer can be made with whatever grains you want to use. I know barley was traditional, but that means nothing. Just because something is traditional doesn't mean you can't try other things, and I don't care what the German purity laws says. Budweiser is not the best flavor of beer you find, but I like it and it serves it's purpose well.
@@skipinator If you don't know the reason why German immigrant brewers in the 1800's originally started addding adjuncts like rice and corn to their beer, then you need to do some more homework. Gruit beer was widely accepted for a LONG time before the Reinheitsgebot law was ever even a thought.
