@jeffjeff6746 Stop ✋️. No, the dynasty is based on steph being a super high floor riser. That allows people like draymond who have damn near zero offensive abilities to be able to stay on the floor.
Not even remotely true. In the 2014-15 season he was not even handling the ball when Curry was in. He averaged LESS than HALF the assists Steph put up. Yes, Dray can put the ball in guys hands for the bucket, but we can't and shouldn't act like he's this otherworldly floor general that's head and shoulders above other passers on his team. If Steph wasn't this off-ball machine, half of Drays assists evaporate. I'm not discrediting him - but when people call him the facilitator for being the last point of action in a play, I really doubt what people see in the game. He's got plenty of IQ, but the plays where he gets the assists are more often than not, just set-plays and 2 on 1 situations created by whoever he set the screen for. He's essentially credited because a gap in the offense and NOT being selfish. Now on DEFENSE, that's where he should be getting credit - aregubly more than what he already gets, because "quarterbacking" the defense takes a ton of focus. That's where other guys take a backseat and listen
This is what I mean when I tell people that stats don’t tell the whole story. Fans today will use stats as the only proof that one player is better than the other but the eye test shows you who is really elite.
Yeap and Draymond is ELITE. In the end tho, his numbers will tell. He may not dominate any particular category (maybe steals), but he will be solid in every category.
@@djpete2009 Steph is one of my favorite players but that doesn't mean I have to like dray. Yeah they complement each other perfectly but what kind of statement is that. Doesn't make sense.
So I've been a Warrior faithful since the Run TMC era 4sure! And I have to say without Draymond GS wouldn't have been who they became. Klay n Steph the quiet leaders and Green was the catalyst. He lit a fire under everyones ash when things weren't Splashing. 2013-2015 and beyond he was the fuel to their ego. I love the 💩 out that guy no matter what frfr! At every level he was a champion frfr. #money23green! 💯 💪😤
Same I’m right there with you. He’s just a winner. He’s won at every level literally. Any warrior fan that says to trade him really don’t wanna see us maximize the Steph Curry years
Love the video because it pin points the importance of Draymond Green to the Warriors... No Draymond- No Championships- No Steph Curry Unanimous MVP season- No KD- No nothing When Steve Kerr inserted Draymond Green in place of injured David Lee, Draymond ran point at the 4/5 unlocking the Steph Curry 3point Era....
You’re so on point when you mention Steve Kerr inserting Dray in place of David Lee as a turning point. He came in, and never gave the job back to D. Lee..
Draymond as facilitator lets Curry run around and drive the opposing team nuts. Curry is as lethal without the ball as he is with it, and Dray facilitating unlocks off ball Curry mayhem.
People who don't understand basketball will say Draymond is not that valuable in the Warriors but those who understand basketball will say Draymond is as valuable as Steph are in the Warriors
When you’re the undersized guy guarding much bigger guys many times you box out the big guy to give your teammates the opportunity to go get the rebound. There’s a lot of ways to be effective.
Has one of the best single game stat-line for a Finals gm 7. A triple double in that one loss to Cleveland at home. 3 of 4 is better than 1 of 4! #warriors! 💯 💪😤
Paraphrasing here, but Moses moody recently said on Dray’s pod that having the threat of draymond behind him in the paint makes defending easier as ball handlers will almost hesitate to dribble in the direction he is on the floor. Everyone in the league knows dray is a DPOY day in and day out and will move differently just to avoid going through him. If you wanna consider the gravity Steph has on offense, dray basically has the same effect on defense just in the opposite way. That’s why the two’s talents have meshed so well and for so long
Watching Dray play defense, you always have to appreciate the beauty of it. His iq, defensive awareness and unique athleticism helped him to defend 1-5 beautifully. It’s the same as you’re feeling awe when watch Steph play offense and feeling satisfied at the defensive end when Dray plays defense!
No Dre, no rings....period! And he's the realist of them all. He admits fault and is harder on himself before he's harder on anyone else. That's a leader.
Finally truth!!! Draymond Green is as much the heart and soul of the Warriors as Steph. With either missing, there's no dynasty, no CHIPs.
Stop. ✋️
😂
@@ChavonReedThaKing Without a doubt. No Draymond means no Championships. The dynasty was built on defense. The defense is anchored by Green.

False. He's A facilitator, but not THE facilitator
I’d say curry is the facilitator, Green is the IQ accountability when Steph is out.
Bogut was more of a facilitator on the 14-15 team. That next season was when he really evolved.
This is what I mean when I tell people that stats don’t tell the whole story. Fans today will use stats as the only proof that one player is better than the other but the eye test shows you who is really elite.

The players may not like him but they respect him. A case of its better to be respected and feared than loved
I really dislike dray and his antics but can't deny he's one of the best defenders in the NBA.
Do you like Steph Curry? Then you are obligated to LOVE Dray. What he has done for Steph is immeasurable.

When they both retire, WARRIORS will have more trouble finding the next Draymond Green, then the next Stephen Curry imo 🤷♂️

Draymond has always been the anchor for the Warriors dynasty. 🔥
Real ball knowers know this has been the same Draymond for his entire career. Nothing new. He's the definition of intangibles
He’s also a legit enforcer. His reputation and unpredictability keep teams from trying too much rough stuff.

Draymond is Zion's Kryptonite. He's like a create-a-defender if you were making someone specifically to negate all of Zion's strengths.
I would say Zion can't wait for Draymond to retire but he is barely playing or getting to that stage to get over that hump of his career 😭
He came out a Saginaw Michigan. It’s a different type of grit Draymond play with. He play basketball like he in the Army lol
