Thank you Craig and the Kino Library for inspiring me to create this!
I edited this video to roughly show what New York City was like in the 1970s. I’ve always been fascinated by the 1970s and New York City. I paired the clips with Kool & the Gang’s upbeat song Street Corner Symphony to reflect the visuals. Featuring some landmark scenes of the city ~ from the skyscrapers to the trains and the bridges. I tried to capture the vibe of the city in those times.
Do you have any memories of New York City during the 1970s? Please share them below! I read your comments and appreciate any feedback.
*Some have pointed out that some clips are from the 80s. good catch & thanks for watching!

Nothing says more 70s than taking a flight on a Pan Am 747.

This was when everyone danced a lot and very expressively, both women and men. Ì remember this in the 80s too. Something happened in the 90s and onward tthough, by then it was more common to stand around or move your head

culture became very self aware and self conscious, and nowadays its magnified 1000x. Everyone should practice a bit of humanization via the 1970s, get a little dirty, have more fun, be more spontaneous, unpredictable, poetic, and take things less seriously
