I miss the Twin Towers here in NYC. I went on the roof of the South Tower back in 1994. I was fourteen years old when they were destroyed. I miss them everyday.
Then you must have been very young when you were there. As a kid did it feel like a huge journey to the top? Did you get worn out? I remember as a kid taking long trips like that would completely wear me out. People dont realize, but being that small you are taking 2x the steps as everyone else. I could imagine feeling completely drained once you reached the top.
@@Kingmig1k Well he said he was there in 94 and was 14 in 01, so im assuming the guy was about 7-8. Theres one. Theres a doc with a guy talking about how his dad took him to see the towers as a young kid, right after they were built. His dad told him the towers were a marvel of modern engineering and that "They would stand for thousands of years." I bet that was eerie to think back to that for the guy.
No place in the USA like NYC where you can just get out in the streets amongst the crowds and walk amongst the foot traffic. You walk around in places like Atlanta, Dallas or Charlotte and people will look at you like you're crazy. NYC makes every city look like a ghost town.
This video reminds me to my Grandmother (Mother of my mother) because she always buyed videocameras. And me always filming videos like this. I think will be my hobbie in the future.
@@Seguratraction they do run mini marathons here in NYC as well. It probably was a mini marathon, not the big one that goes through all five boroughs. We had two this past Sunday at both Prospect Park and Central Park.
... I dont miss flagging taxis. Uber kinda nailed it as far as that part goes. Failed on every other count. But walking into the street to wave your hand around was never all that great. It was honestly pretty crap.
The year 2000 was always the Future. Now it's bittersweet nostalgia.
Great memories I was working that day in Midtown. Back when the city was safe.
Thank you for a lovely video. Kindest regards from the UK ❤
Thank you so much.

Really enjoyed this, thank you
Thank you
La ciutat és tremenda. Gràcies per compartir.
Gràcies a tu.
That's beautiful.
Woah I could’ve been to those buildings
It’s interesting to see that except for the cars and obviously the Trade Center, NYC almost looks exactly the same as it did in like 2019
Not to me, kinda looks like the 90s, looks dated, not 24 years ago.
It was better in the 2000s without smartphones, though lol
Not really, the skyline is way different. Not just the wtc either...
Esto se vera muy primito y antiguo si seguimos existiendo en 2100

Crazy I walked around Atlanta my entire 18-24 year old era and there were loads of people . Just gotta be around midtown.
I'm sure Atlanta, Dallas and Charlotte have a vibrant urban scene. With that population I can't imagine it being a ghost town
I wanna wake up in the city that never sleeps “to-do-do-do”
8:12 thats a view you will never see again in your life time
Yeah no thanks to those who Still don’t want them back Or don’t have the Balls to Dismantle the current one To Better Build them Back
