Peterbilt 320 - Wittke Starlight Garbage Truck w/ The Curotto-Can

- Here's one of the newest trucks handling route out in my corner of the world: a Wittke Starlight front load body on a Peterbilt 320 cab and chassis, outfitted with a Curotto-Can for residential collection. This truck is seen here handling a "take-all" route; the city contract mandates that all refuse placed at the curb must be collected, including bulky items and extra bags and boxes. Previously, the carts were collected by an automated side loader and the "extras" were handled by a rear loader. Using a front loader with a Curotto-Can allows the carts and extras to be collected by the same truck in a single pass, as is seen here! I hope everyone enjoys the video!
As always, major thanks goes out to the driver for providing excellent service to the community!

If only we had garbage trucks like this here in Miami. We have mostly the side loading trucks and the front loading trucks and rear loaders
That's a great truck

Only checked this truck out on Flickr not long ago, nice to see it in action now. Looks just as good on video as it does in a picture, very nice colour scheme, especially being so fresh. Definitely is a take all route, the residents sure do some generous set outs for the weekly pick-up..... a proper single pass service! They sure could've cut the branches up a little more in the second cart at the beginning, figured it would just fit in, not that branches sticking out the side would've been much of a problem during the dump cycle. I see the gym equipment at the end didn't go in, a little bit too heavy methinks :D Neat can cover on these later model Curottos, flips over pretty quickly, no levelling required.

why do the wittkes have labrie logos on them
Because Labrie makes Wittke, Leach, and Labrie products. Wittke is part of the Labrie family, and they make Leach trucks as their rear loaders, Labrie for side loaders, and Wittkes for front loaders.
Cool!
when that little tarp is being deployed does it deploy automatically by a sensor or does the operator/ driver does it ?
trip sensor. hits certain point then deploys/undeploys
Okay thank you Kolby Botka.
Avonta Price bun.
Great video! Been watching your videos for going on 9 years! Do you know of this truck has separate joysticks for the arms and forks and for the Curotto? Really like the pair. Seems to work pretty efficiently. Naps just bought 4 Peterbilt 520 Wittke FELs like this one. Except they have the smaller bubble on the back and they have a pusher-axle. Once again great video!!!!
how do they separate the waste
coolguy 66 What do you mean by that? I'm pretty sure garbage isn't separated in any way, usually. That's only recycling.
what he means is how do I separate the yard waste from the household garbage and stuff like that.
they usually take it to a transfer station so it could get separated by the material or truckload that they bring in.

Where is it filmed at?
PASCO, WASHINGTON.
I personally do have a feeling that this is done because the Heil 7000 is discontinued. But you work there right?
