Peterbilt 320 - McNeilus Meridian Front Load Garbage Truck

- Out of the current McNeilus front loader product line, my absolute favorite by a long shot is the relatively new Meridian model! The combination of sleek, lightweight, almost futuristic design characteristics accented with the harsh lines seen on the bodies of yesteryear made for a design that had instant visual appeal to me! And now having gotten to see several different configurations in person has only further cemented my admiration for this unique body!
Earlier this week, I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to catch a McNeilus Meridian, configured with roof-mounted CNG tanks and paired up with a Peterbilt 320 cab & chassis, handling a commercial recycling route! As if the truck itself isn't cool enough, the route also consisted of a wide variety of interesting and unique containers as well, made even cooler with the addition of electric blue lids! Overall, this was a really fun truck to watch, and a really fun route to film on! I hope you all enjoy watching this truck as much as I did!

Just started with GFL driving this type of truck. Currently in training to operate the arms and forks. Little intimidating!
Garbage trucks, fire trucks, yard trucks, & some box trucks are the only cabovers I see out on the roads here in 🇺🇸 nowadays. I use to see cabover fifth wheel semis all the time back in the 1980s.

my old neighborhood had dumpsters like that so we had big garbage trucks like that. they were so loud every time the dumpster banged against the truck

Good stuff my friend. I'm with you on the Meridian body for sure. Those lids are different- they sort of work with the whole Republic color scheme, but WM is a different story. Fun to see none the less

great idea, ive seen garbage trucks picking up single trash cans and breaking them trying to put their rubbish in the truck, it was hilarious, i think i rather have a double trash can so i can have this truck come round

No it’s not. That is a 1.5 cubic yard dumpster or a 1 yard dumpster. It is so small that it’s how they are made.

Just remember people when you do have a recycling dumpster don't throw trash in it you just ruined the whole load now that all that recycling has to be done by a rubbish truck hauling garbage

Yeah it's because he had a nice empty truck unfortunately I work in the city I got to deal with overhead wires tight enclosures ... The worst is only having about three or four stops left and they're over filled 10 yarders the ones with the slant front..try putting that in your truck when you only have a hopper left

Republic Services of Anaheim were planning on to receive these trucks with the 520 chassis but instead got more heils but either way let me introduce myself I'm Garden Grove Disposal Photograhy and I film on the west coast in the cities of Anaheim and Garden Grove in California and it's nice to meet you (BTW I'm 15 and I started last year with 2041 and 2453 with normal and bulky waste)

Wow that is ideal. However front loader trucks can eliminate jobs for guys who load trash trucks or recycle trucks.
Yes and find out how many yards an individual dumpster is divide your awnser by 2 and that’s how many 360 liter carts there will be.
