The entire time I was playing I was looking at the frames and thinking, "There's no way in hell this is 120 fps." Went into the Adrenalin software and yup, it recorded the game only running at 60 fps, but there was no setting in game. I'll be trying this later, ty.
The folder with Darksiders III config files is in %LOCALAPPDATA%/packages, though the naming is mostly garbage.
In the .ini file, you have to put in
[/script/darksiders3.darksiders3usersettings]
Frameratelimit=144

Undefined behaviour. Search 250 fps Skyrim, I don't think there is better example.

thanks alot it helped i have a 144hz aswell i don't understand not having a menu option for vsync locked at 60 or w.e vs no vsync unlocked frames i really do not understand the need to lock the frame rate unless you are a japanese game and have stupidly decided to tie something to frame rate like dark souls annoys me to no end that not only is it locked at 60 its locked at 60 because if it renders faster everything speeds up
the game was made at 60fps that is why it is locked unlocking the game passed that has shown to cause some graphical issues thats why they did it.
@@ReyzGamingChannel I have it running at 150 frames and seen no graphical or playback errors whatsoever and even then that's isn't an excuse either patch it or when making it make it so it can support higher frame rates in the first place
the game can support higher frames. also there is no point in them making it higher when you can just do this to fix it. the fact you are having issues doesn't mean no one else is on the specs they tested if they made it higher it caused issues case in point at times my 1060 saw random graphical errors and issues and popins etc it also made the games music run faster then it was suppose to as it was only intended for 60fps but that was patched and it was also patched for people who did uncap their fps for them to encounter less issues.
@@ReyzGamingChannel yes but it should just be something you can turn on or off in menu like vsync on or vsync off there is no reason to perma lock it requiring me to look this shit up like hey I'm seeing graphical errors now that I unclicked this default setting I'll just turn it back on and it should be able to run at a higher frame rate from the get go
My config is almost empty, i had to add frameratelimit my self even, idk why. And it doesnt work for me for some stupid reason

When I opened 'Game User Setttings' There is no option for frame limit. Where did you do it?

you cant their is no way to windows aka microsoft block you off to the game files and they lock it at 60fps
Actually you can uncap the framerate on the windows store version without needing to access the windows file. You could simply search "gameusersettings" in your appdata folder and look for the file from the path ".../local/packages/NordicGames.DarksidersIII..."; open it and you can change it. alternatively, the exact path to the file is C:\Users\[YOU]\AppData\Local\Packages\NordicGames.DarksidersIII_46xc33nm0q0f8\LocalCache\Local\Darksiders3\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor
@@IcyElementX true however when windows updates it has been know to cause your game save file to corrupt because of messing with the file and locks you out and make a new one happened to me with the windows version of shadow of war
i dont have a saved folder like u what cani do?
you have to activate hidden folders...just google it...i dont know how its called in english but the folder appdata is hidden

I uncapped it but the GPU usage is still crazy low.
as longas you are getting the fps you want thats fine.
maybe you're bottlenecking? What's your GPU, CPU and the resolution you are using?
