This whole synergy of being able to jam with someone - it heals, I'd imagine. I wish I had a group of people to jam with. Just write funny songs or sad songs or whatever. Even inventing our own chords. Good luck in the future to Palberta!
The kind of people who automatically dislike this kinda music are the same people who booed Stravinsky when he first presented The Rite Of Spring- Squares the lot of ya! This sounds awesome!

It's not offensively bad like some people are making out but there's a dozen garage bands in every single town across the world that are on a similar level. More power to them for having fun and catching a break.
Contextually, If they had a better mix, I’m sure you could understand what they are doing better. But it’s together, it’s different, I’m into it. Emotionally, they got it going on. Keep it up gals!
I don't know whether to be refreshed by the lack of comparison to other bands with a loosely similar vibe (surprised none of the captain's devotees are hanging around the comment section), or sad that they seem to be missing out on a really fun sort of continuation of an under explored way of writing and playing. That said, maybe the fortune teller just gets faces and names mixed up and was actually on about these three instead.

In the first song you could plug lots of distortion over the guitars, and shrieky vocals instead of clean singing - you get a 90's underground primitive black metal project :-D Anyways, love it! :-D
This is a genre of music called Noise Rock. It's a style of rock music that is designed to sound distorted, de-tuned, and imperfect. The Velvet Underground is credited with creating the first Noise Rock album in 1968. The Japanese call this Wabi-sabi and it exists in every art form. Sometimes it's nice to listen to something raw or unproduced. Keep doing your thing Palberta...
i couldn't say which part i disliked most but i do struggle to find sth i did like. the only reason i watched it *in full* is bc it's on tiny desk and i kept hoping it'd get better. whatever makes this good was completely lost on me.

There is something about this music. Tight, practiced and planned dissonance. I like it.
При этом отстроенный гармоничный вокал. Это сложно.
People: ugh I miss the 90s
Also People: nO NOT like thAT
I loved this..... i loved this so much
I had the pleasure of playing with Pberta a few years ago and they were intimidatingly great. Couldn't be more psyched about their NPR debut!
Finally, a Tiny Desk Concert worth listening to.
It made me remember when we strummed as children
And instead of a hi-hat we used a cage with a parrot

As I wrote in a group some time ago, they sound a little like The Raincoats if they were formed in the 90s. Prettt good
I've never heard of this group before but I really really like them!
I love this set so much!
😊💕🎶

Wow NPR reached a new height in music quality! Just when you think it can only go up or down or whatever. You know what I mean!

I LOVE THIS. What a cool, unique sound.
Perfect setting in the basement!
I think is a fusion between girlpool and attic abasement , which i love!
So brilliant !!!! 🌬🤍
Sound of the Beat is one of my favorite songs of theirs. Their music is so catchy and fun, and so layered as well.
