Ms. Donna.....WE should never test oil temperatures with water (of course it will bubble, but also a hazard to your skin). We were taught in class to use a sprinkle of flour; if it bubbles immediately, it is ready. If it falls to the bottom it is not. Much safer for you and everyone in the kitchen. Keep cooking these great recipes 🤗⚘️

i think I'll try this recipe with half corn meal and flour. and a little cheddar cheese. A homemade ranch or Greek yogurt and chive dip would taste good too. thanks for the new recipe.
