Its just a storytelling Tool for Theater. If this was a book V day wouldnt be officialy called that.Mayby by Delfie. Rowling on gave them the plot. The writing Was done by Theater screen writers.
Honestly wish the camera could just be in this position and live stream the entire show to a paid audience worldwide! Might be a good idea with all the social distancing issues right now!
This should be considered from the start, because only a small percentage of Harry Potter fans live in the UK and therefore a small percentage of the fandom had the opportunity to watch this If this (live broadcasting) became a thing it would be awesome, but only shows that they don’t care about the rest of the fans, but the money.

This scene was pure epic - the music, the beats, the movements, the dance and the scenery as a whole truly makes you believe you're in the darkness. I loved this show. Ngl, the bold guy at the beginning, I thought that was Voldemort!
For having seen it yesterday in real life I can say that it impresses. I was also surprised by Voldemort's sign but the fact that it is different from the films makes creative rights play

The fact that magicals have been modernized but also kept as a society lost in time aswell is incredible while looking back on it, the book itself was horrible and I only liked the two protagonists when I read it, but after seeing the metaphorical magic of this in a threatre I'm considering that the story might be decent in play form, now if only it was a musical.
in my opinion, anthony boyle and sam clemmet deserve the role of scorpius malfoy and albus not only on broadway but in the original film harry potter and please show it all over the world one of them is indonesia because i come from indonesia

I have a question to anyone who has watched Harry Potter and the Cursed Child parts 1 and 2. I thank anyone who can shed a light into this matter. I have bought tickets to see this play on the Palace Theatre in London with my parents on March. We will be travelling from Spain. The case is that my mother had a surgical procedure in her back some time ago, for the relief of pain and other symptoms that occur when a herniated disc in the spine presses on an adjacent nerve root. So basically she can't be seated during too much hours. Of course she will make an effort for this special occasion, but taking into account that both parts last two and a half hours, I am afraid she might can't make it. I made sure to buy tickets for the Dress Circle, which I understand is the best, but still... So my question is, in case she didn't have a good day with the pain... which part is worthier watching, One or Two? And I am only talking in terms of special effects (spells and stuff) since she doesn't speak English anyway, she is going simply to witness an spectacular play. She is a GREAT Harry Potter fan.

I think it kind of depends on the performers you get, I remember when I saw it the dance was incredibly intimidating, atmospheric and visually striking, whereas here it doesn't do much for me.

@@shumshumshumo because apparently in the show, when the main characters go back in time, they change what happens in the tri wizard tournament, and then change the future with Neville dying in the battle of hogwarts meaning he couldn't kill Nagini, meaning Voldemort would live. Again I don't know much about this show so don't quote me, but that's what makes me think the guy is Voldemort
Was cool, but the cloak swirling had me almost laughing when in theatre. Not intimidating at all. Looked fine every other time in the show, but was poor choreo choice for this scene in my opinion.
Seeing this in person was INSANE. The subs, the chorey, and the intimidating as hell stalk towards downstage. God I wish I was in this show
