The CarlinBrothers literally exposed that the black family is related to the Ravenclaws. It used tons of source material too and they have busted open everything in their videos so far. You'll love this video.
It kind of makes sense since they're the ones that care about bloodlines the most. Maybe JK Rowling knew (either consciously or subconsciously) that they would be the ones that would keep track (kind of how many rich/well-connected people IRL would be more likely to know who their ancestors were) and so represented those bloodline connections more. Or maybe it's just a coincidence.
The Slytherin was passed down to the Gaunts (They're more well known to have it) but that doesn't mean that the potters can't have the Title for slytherin. If Voldemort had already claimed the title of Lord Slytherin and was defeated by Harry when he was a baby, it technically was an informal duel and Voldemort lost then that means the title of Slytherin was passed down to Harry as well as the Potters
I think there’s more connections than everyone knows. It’s said that the muggle-born are not completely muggle, because they’ve ancestors who were wizards, just somewhere in the line there was probably a squib who left the wizarding world and they married someone who isn’t a wizard, and after some generations they forget

I have watched a few videos about different family trees in the harry potter universe. It is crazy how much people can dig out about the relations and how far that goes
Yeah Malfoy and Ron are distant relatives (Ron’s dad’s mom was a Black as is his mom, the former was disinherited for marrying a muggle-loving Weasley), Harry and Voldemort are distantly related through the Three Brothers’ father (but given that the Gaunts were far too bigoted for the pro-muggle Potters and don’t seem to have married a non-relative in a while that’s probably the only way they were related). And apparently Harry had a great great aunt-by-marriage or something who was a Black (but she, her husband and their newborn son were all killed in a Grindelwald terrorist attack and she was probably disowned for what she married into)
Also, it's just a theory right now, but I suspect Credence's mother was a member of the Gaunt line. Isolt's magical daughter never had children wanting that bloodline to die, but her squib sister did marry and had children who could have eventually led to Credence. If that's the case the Dumbledore family will connect to everyone from both series.
I like to think that Godric Gryffindor was related to the Peverell's as well, that then led to Harry Potter. Voldermort a Slytherin and Harry a Gryffindor and yet both are related seems thematically good.
Is it very likely that evans family have at least one wizard ancestors give that muggle born are distant direct descendants from sqiub? Could one of those ancestors be godric Gryffindor?or ignotus peverell wife could be godric Gryffindor descendants?
Yeah. I have a family tree maker app on my phone, and I recreated the Harry Potter family tree and it grew so crazy. They are like old nobility, almost all related!
While it is hard to believe so many families from both the Wizarding world and the Muggle world are related, it's harder to believe that anyone was diligent enough to create a family tree of all of it.
I had this thought ages ago, if we know there are 28 pure blood families and many of them are hell bent on marrying into other pure blood families, so most of them would have to be related.
This is one reason why I've always loved the wizarding world because it reminds me so much of my mum's family. Everyone from her village is related one way or another. And to make things more complicated, you have 2nd and 3rd marriages and even illegitimate children added to the mix. What makes my mum's family tree even more difficult is that we follow a patronymic naming system. So your surname is your father's first name. Being such a remote village and country means the culture is still quite strong with hardly any outside influence just like the wizarding world. Love this video, keep up the good work.
It's interesting that it's the Black family that cuz most of the connecting of the tree because you would be a family like the Potter's or Weasley's but seeing it lay out and talked about opens your eyes a lot more into this world
Sirius literally says that in the books that pure blood are so few in number that if the ones who wanted to remain pureblood keep marrying within themselves and thus were all related. Arthur Weasley was his cousin and Molly was his sister by law (that's his statement in book). Also his sisters all married into different family, 2 of which were pureblood and one muggle and 2 of them had kids thus the line continues.
Morgan puts so much effort into these videos and they are always so well researched and entertaining. I love watching your vids especially your Harry Potter content.
I’m saying that I wouldn’t be surprised if he came out with a video like “every wizarding world character ever created”, I wasn’t referring to this video I was just complimenting this man on how knowledgeable he is
If you don’t have a gaunt family tree video already I would love one that incorporates Ominis and his family. I don’t even know if we’ve figured out exactly where they are in the family tree yet but I would love to watch something that goes into more detail about Hogwarts Legacy in general
Dude, you're really perfect. it's so hard to find and link them together that it burned my brain even while watching it. It's like watching family tree videos about Greek mythology. I've been in the Wizarding World for over 7 years, but every time I see something new to surprise. Rowling has done an excellent job building this universe, although she annoys us in some ways. Downright flawless
J.K Rowling’s imagination is boundless and it’s absolutely incredible. Her mind is an absolute goldmine of amazing ideas. Say what you want about J.K but you have to admit she’s one of the most creative people in the world.
You can also add Yusuf Kama to the family tree through his connection to Leta. And if Theseus had married Leta you could also have connected the fantastic beasts characters and the Lovegoods to the other family tree
Jk Rowling has made such a masterpiece with such wonderful timelines and families. Morgan Sir has done a magnificent work organising all this wonderful information, it might of been a lot of work but it is absolutely worth it .
the Dumbledore family I believe you could add in to this. My theory is that Dumbledore is a descendant of Antioch Peverall, I think it just makes so much sense for his character, rhymes with him possessing the Elder Wand throughout most of the story up until his death and ties into the side of him that lusts for power that he supresses because it scares him, whereas Antioch was killed because he lacked that self control. This leaves the 5 heads of house in the series, Snape, McGonnagal, Sprout, Flitwick and Slughorn not connected to the tree which I think is quite neat
This is sooooo crazy! I was like bruhhhhh every time that another name that was in the books was connected. Huge props to movie flame for putting this together!
This was so interesting, good job to Morgan for putting this all together for us! I can’t even begin to imagine how much time, effort and research must’ve gone into creating this video…
Just imagine how much research it took this guy and his team to make this video but just imagine the creativity it must have taken to create a family tree soooo detailed
All that from Salazar. I wonder what the other house founders trees would produce. (probably some of the marriage tie-ins to this one) Not to mention other notable wizards like Merlin. I'd like to think Dumbledore would come from either Godric or Merlin
Thank you Morgan for putting so much effort into your videos for us. Researching all you can on these subjects must be very difficult. So I appreciate that effort you put in your videos to entertain us.
I appreciate you so much for making this video!!!!! It is super cool and interesting. Relationships are interesting to me and I love breaking down family trees!
I have my own headcannon that muggle borns are actually related to magical families through Squib ancestors and their magical genes were dormant until them. Like how the ginger gene can skip multiple generations. So the Magical Gene could be the same.
@@WatchThatFirstStep It's funny because he used some info from the Cursed Child so you can't really go at it. It really is a horrible story though if it was on its own it's not too bad. But if you put it into the Harry Potter universe, it's like the cursed what?
I’ve always found the relations interesting. I studied the black family tree mostly and found it interesting how many family it connected. While doing a intensive search on them I found the connection twice with the weasley’s we know due to two Black’s marrying a Prewitt and a Weasley who we know eventually marry. Theres also the relationship to the Potter which makes James and Sirius relationship even better when you think of it. @@karensolano3159 it's explained in the video but I believe it's because a member of the black family married into the Potter's and then Remus years later married tonks who's related to the black family

Idk what’s more interesting to think about, the Dursleys realizing they’re related to half the wizarding world or Malfoy (or even Slytherin) realizing he’s related to muggles

And apparently Harry had a great great aunt-by-marriage or something who was a Black (but she, her husband and their newborn son were all killed in a Grindelwald terrorist attack and she was probably disowned for what she married into)
That’s fan fiction it never says who she’s related to.
SO THE BATTLE OF HOGWARTS IS JUST A FAMILY ARGUMENT!!!
THAT’S COMPLETELY MENTAL
Rosemarta was right when she called Sirius and James brothers they weren’t platonic either 😂
Yeah. I have a family tree maker app on my phone, and I recreated the Harry Potter family tree and it grew so crazy. They are like old nobility, almost all related!
What Name is the App????
While it is hard to believe so many families from both the Wizarding world and the Muggle world are related, it's harder to believe that anyone was diligent enough to create a family tree of all of it.
It is mostly connecting already excisting family trees i guess... :)
So you come from ages of incest?
**my brain literally melting from this epic explanation**
Fr!
Can you please make a video about all of Harry, Ginny, Ron, Hermoine, and even Remus's children being realated?
Wow so Draco was bullying his very distant cousins or smth wow lol 😂😂😂
this is one of my favorite aspects of Harry Potter!! it’s so interesting
This is how medieval families ran europe over the centuries
It's interesting that it's the Black family that cuz most of the connecting of the tree because you would be a family like the Potter's or Weasley's but seeing it lay out and talked about opens your eyes a lot more into this world
Sirius literally says that in the books that pure blood are so few in number that if the ones who wanted to remain pureblood keep marrying within themselves and thus were all related. Arthur Weasley was his cousin and Molly was his sister by law (that's his statement in book). Also his sisters all married into different family, 2 of which were pureblood and one muggle and 2 of them had kids thus the line continues.
Awesome work as usual mate, it's amazing how you can offer a new perspective on the series with each video :]]
Morgan puts so much effort into these videos and they are always so well researched and entertaining. I love watching your vids especially your Harry Potter content.
I like how it turns from a family tree to a family wheel over the time.
One of my favorite things about HP that a lot of Movie watchers don't often talk about is that how important family and lineage is
Dude is a legend. Watch him post “Every person ever in the wizarding world” next, I honestly wouldn’t be surprised dude knows his stuff
How does he tho, where does he get his info from
It’s not every character because where’s Grindelwald?
I’m saying that I wouldn’t be surprised if he came out with a video like “every wizarding world character ever created”, I wasn’t referring to this video I was just complimenting this man on how knowledgeable he is
@@jmp_jayperproductions ok
This is more complicated then the “once upon a time” family tree and that’s saying something…
We also know severus snape is related in some way because his mother was a disowned pure blood named Eileen Prince Snape
This is really cool, if we ever find out more information about the families I’d love to see how we could expand on this
If you don’t have a gaunt family tree video already I would love one that incorporates Ominis and his family.
I know right
Probably all those shrooms she's eating 😂
@@ayt_a tbh, with her allowing cursed child I wouldn’t put that past her. 🤣
2:34 the picture used for Vernon made me laugh for too long 😂
You can also add Yusuf Kama to the family tree through his connection to Leta.
Changs might be related to the dursley's as dudely married cho according to a fan theory :)
Omg now I want to see how JK Rowling was keeping track on that XD
i’m so tempted to recreate this entire family tree on the Sims 4…
the Dumbledore family I believe you could add in to this.
Did Antioch had a child before he died
we dont know but its definitely possible@@stephaniepage4334
Why was I expecting a photo of Thimothée Chalamet, when he mentioned Regulus black 😭😭
maraudars' fancasts supermacy!!!
Plot Twist: There all related to Voldemort 😂😂😂😂
😂
I really love how much time you put to organize a neat family tree as this
And just love how you alerted for spoilers
What a great summary, big ups! Narration also kept it high level interesting.
This is sooooo crazy! I was like bruhhhhh every time that another name that was in the books was connected. Huge props to movie flame for putting this together!
The dedication to research every family and linking them to eachother was so satisfying. Amazing video
This is great! Thank you for putting all of this together for us.
Not Me Thinking So Hard About My Family Tree😂😂😂
This was so interesting, good job to Morgan for putting this all together for us! I can’t even begin to imagine how much time, effort and research must’ve gone into creating this video…
Just imagine how much research it took this guy and his team to make this video but just imagine the creativity it must have taken to create a family tree soooo detailed
Dude, he literally just took the tree I made on Reddit and made a video on it
@@akshayjag117then where’s that Reddit post?
All that from Salazar. I wonder what the other house founders trees would produce. (probably some of the marriage tie-ins to this one) Not to mention other notable wizards like Merlin. I'd like to think Dumbledore would come from either Godric or Merlin
I don't even think Hermoine can explain this *HUGE* family tree! Great work! :D
I am wondering how Salazar Slytherin is related to the Prevell Brothers
He might of had at least 1-2 children that continued a line and eventually connected to the Gaunt. Who were decents from Cadmus Peverell.
I have my own headcannon that muggle borns are actually related to magical families through Squib ancestors and their magical genes were dormant until them.
Like how the ginger gene can skip multiple generations. So the Magical Gene could be the same.
this is just so amazing and well made and interesting at the same exact time! thank you so much for making this!
Ikr:D
I’m learning more from this than school/j
It was satisfying to learn so much on one of my favorite movie franchises! Great video!
the scamanders were pretty close to getting added to that oversized tree. if theseus and leta got married, they’d be a part of the bunch
Yeah but sadly leta died
Can we just thank him for not adding the relationship between Voldemort and Bellatrix on the tree.
What are you talking about? There was no relationship between Voldemort and Bellaxtrix Lestrange.

It's funny because he used some info from the Cursed Child so you can't really go at it.
It really is a horrible story though if it was on its own it's not too bad. But if you put it into the Harry Potter universe, it's like the cursed what?
@@calebS.Buddy_Rich_Best_Soloist Scorpius was good though.

5:48 the three black sisters, I could not resist the joke
I dont understand
Uh, is there something I’m missing?
@wordfairy I don’t think it’s racially appropriate to make a joke like that.
I was surprised to find out the Longbottom’s marry into the Black, I knew a few like the Crouch’s, Rosiers and Crabbe’s but hadn’t realized the longbottom to also be part of the family till a few days prior.
And just as I thought he covered everything, he created ANOTHER amazing harry potter video.

Magnificent work! Next challenge:
How are the other founders of Hogwarts connected to the characters?
(this is after the second wizarding war)
I can just imagine James going through his old family tree and then he comes running to siruis and Remus and screams at them and says
"WHERE RELATED" 😂
could you explain me please ¿Why Sirius,James and Remus they would be related?
@@karensolano3159 it's explained in the video but I believe it's because a member of the black family married into the Potter's and then Remus years later married tonks who's related to the black family
Remus is not related to James... he is connected.
There is actually a difference... since to be related... a direct blood connection plays a part.... while for connection... you can marry into a family without actually having blood ties.
@@nickdentoom1173 that Is true I misunderstood thanks
But I can still see James screaming to his friends about this
This video took my brain, put it in a meatgrinder, dissolved it in flammable acid, burned the acid and remaining brainmatter, and fertilized the garden with the ashes.
the headache that the black’s family tree gives me
Omg same lol, when the same names were repeated like Sirius for example and stuff like that I was just lost.
"Lets reuse the same 6 names, and marry EVERYONE"
4:00 I always loved Ernie's character in the books, he is a loyal d&d member but, this means he is relates to Sirius Black who dies in the end of order of the pheonix and Ernie wasn't there for it
Omg yeah
Wrong serious black
What about Snape's family? Would be interesting to see if he is connected to other purebloods as his mother was pureblood 'Prince'
I remember that in the first book Ron mentions that he has an uncle who is an accountant
It's Ron's mum's second cousin that's an accountant (Ron's second cousin once removed)!
They don't talk much about him
Is no one gonna be talking about how much time and work Morgan puts on this? So much work but its not as showed
This is the most impressive video I have ever seen in my entire life
The Potters are already related to the Peverells also as the invisibility cloak was passed down
I'd like to see j.k do a book about peverell brothers?
I'm amazed that Severus Snape famil wasn't related to any family. Sth. close would be Harry naming one of his sons Albus Severus
Sadly, we don’t get much insight on the pure-blooded Prince Family, which is the family that Severus Snape descended from.
Snape’s dad was a Muggle, so he was unlikely to have been connected to any Wizard family on his own too.
Omg thank you so much I’ve tried so many times to understand this tytytyyyy
Thanks for you time and effort to explain us Every family tree and it is an very informative video❤
