Nowadays in arena, as Kripp often says, you lose more playing around AOE that just going for lethal. If you had enough damage in your board and hand, usually you just try to kill them before they get any chance. If me can lethal, me never trade. More if it is an agrro deck xD
I thought that at first, but then I realized the harvest golem's deathrattle would've taken out his 4-2, and left his opponent with his 4-4. So it was definitely the right play.
ive had it a few times in arena....and decided its one of the worst possible legendary picks due to the level of tempo and how fast paced arena games are these days...its far to slow
I do have respect for the Golden Monkey, he actually calls me when he is in desperate needs of reinforcements, and I always prove to be a worthy adversary.

Summary: It's very hard to play Elise, get the map and play the monkey while it's still relevant in the arena, just have to lucky. This game lasted longer than usual so it worked. Now, skip the Krip you savages. p.s, top decking legendaries everyturn?, sometimes lucky...
I'm someone who FEELS like they are mediocre player who takes part in Arena regularly, simply because I enjoy it. I have only a 2.55 avg overall. Only thing above 3 is mage and warrior. Sometimes I feel like I am getting better, and then I'll just have a string of shit games. And then I'll have days where I draft freaking Deathwing, and go 8-3. *shrugs* Play it, enjoy it, don't let it stress you out.

I keep getting rekt on arena. Over 180 cards (2 drafts) saw a total of about 10 2-drop minions. Both mage decks. No board clears. Went 1-3 lost to decks with ridiculous synergy. This has been the past 4-6 arena runs and i F2P so arena runs come every week sometimes twice a week

Right after LoE came out I played against a Warlock in Arena who played Elise turn 4 and got the Golden Monkey by turn 6. I got 2 Legendary minions from unstable portal but still got wrecked.
One the first pojnt i'm a pretty average player especially in arena and yeah, it's a pretty rough place, i go maybe 4-5 wins if i'm lucky. Been playing HS now about a week, don't really count the time i played in Beta since that was so long ago now. Pretty much impossible to do that well in Arena unless you know exactly what every class is capable of on every possible turn. I've been a pretty decent arena style player on other card games as i've allways found that the most enjoyable thing to do. On HS though a lot of the time it isn't fun.

For once he's actually right. Fewer and fewer people appear to play arena as time goes on. I used to go 9-12 wins on average. Nowadays it's usually 7-9, so I stopped playing aswell. Just not worth it. Seen the same for people on my friendslist.
Arena has become so frustrating to play in. I went to 12 wins a few times before WotoG but now I haven't passed 6 wins. I don't know what exactly happened, but arena feels like an uphill battle the whole time and unless you draft the miracle deck full of board clears then you wont do shit.
Wow, that is lucky. And there is my elise arena story. I saw elise and 2 worse legendaries, picked elise. In the first game, elise was in my opening hand, and i was playing against a Priest. He played mind vision in turn 1 and got Elise from 5 cards in my hand, then played it turn 4, then drew the map in turn 8 and played the monkey in turn 9. I couldn't even get to the map until i lose the game at turn 15.
Elise Starseeker is actually fun to play in my constructed Hunter decks. She isn't the worst 4 drop and adds an extra card to your deck. I also try to build my deck to not be burned as quickly as other Hunter decks though.
I can also confirm, I'm a very casual player and I used to love playing arena but I'm not great at it and I'd rather use to gold to just pop open a pack. Super fun to watch you playing arena though and doing it helps us scrubs learn how to play better!
I have to agree with Kripp on the state of Arena, as someone who got lucky a while ago with midrange hunter got to rank 8 as my highest would say I'm okay at the game but I can't do anything in arena cause every deck is crazy.
Hehehehe. Golden monkey. just last game i had stalagg and fuegen, he killed stalagg but polymorphed fuegan, so i was sad until i had golden monkey with 1 card in my hand and it turned the one card i had into another fuegan, and i found it very fitting...
The Cthun could attack after the evolve, does this mean that if you dont attack with a minion, then evolve and then a different minion gets transformed into said minion, this minion can attack, has what looks like charge?

I also got my first 12 wins in arena with an aggro warlock deck.
I was so lucky that any rouge or mage had removal.

7 wins is to get your gold back on top of a pack. To get your money back (50 gold + pack), 3 is not quite enough, and 4 is a little more.

I ran a Rogue arena deck a couple weeks ago. Three Dark Iron Skulkers. Needless to say, they were the only reason I got 12-0 that run.

when you evolved, you got a c'thune with one of the evolved minions and because you already had one it was able to attack? is that a glitch?

I have only had one lucky Elise play. I played her on turn 5 and on turn 7 i drew my map and then when played drew the monkey. Pretty cool to me.
