Pretty sure I made this plane as a model kit from Revell as a kid
Wow! I love this!
This gives some impression of the field of view in the Crystal. If it really is sharp from edge to edge that's quite something.
Because of the 21:9 format of the video, the VR view is cropped heavily - when in headset, you have a very large vertical FOV. I can typically see all the way from above my canopy arch all the way down to the bottom of the AMPCD (the middle-bottom moving map MFD) without even moving my head, just my eyes - it's exceptionally clear, so I don't have to learn forwards to read anything either.
@@tallymouse being able to look around with just eyes and not head is definitely going to be a huge advantage!
@@RobFisherUK The biggest benefit of the Dynamic Foveated Rendering is that i'm running the foveated region at 250% super-sampling, and the peripheral region at 4% normal resolution, and when in HMD I literally cannot tell the difference, except for:
I now have MSAA etc complete disabled, because it isn't needed with the super-sampling, and;
My frame-rate at "everything Ultra" and native headset resolution, hovers around 100fps due to the fact that i'm only having to render a small portion of the whole display panel at high resolution.
