L Colletti. I don't think that's quite right. In the studio Keith just wanted to do this particular song, then Jagger got into it & turned up next day/night ?! with all the other ones to try. None of them conceived ' A Blues Album' , just followed their trusty instincts & out it popped!! lol
Well, no one knows why Jagger elected to perform it and he had listened recently to it. And then they cut 12 songs in 3 days. Keith had primed the pump...he may have tried for years. But he got Jagger to bite that time. It is Nov 2018, a 2019 US Stones Tour is being teased across many US cities. It looks certain. Question is, will the Stones record newly minted Jagger/Richards tunes? They should, but Keith has knocked down several of Mick's suggestions like "England Lost" and "Gotta Get a Grip" in 2017 and he released them on own. They were well recorded and performed....but they weren't Stones music....Keith was right. Most die hard fans like myself would like Blue & Lonesome - 2 as it has been described, if the Glimmer Twins cannot agree on new tunes to release. One thing is for sure Blue & Lonesome was magnificent. I hope they tour with new material. But I also want another Covers album. Regardless let's hear them again and see them ASAP.
@@thomaslucas1012 Yeah, I was actually going to guess Luther Tucker when I started listening to this. It sounds exactly like Tucker as heard on a couple Muddy Waters songs. Not that he isn't right about Buddy Guy but it sounds like Guy on this recording is doing a Tucker imitation.
What makes Keith so great is how deeply he feels the music.
✨💕I love this beautiful soul✨💕

AAAAAARRRRRRGH!!!!!!! It caught me 40 years ago. It gets me still. Dammed, that chromatic harp and those vocals. Little Walter was a demon.

Anyone know what kind of record player Keith is using ?
ION Audio Max LP Turntable
Buddy Guy on guitar - nothing quite like it.
There is and it comes in the form of Freddie Robinson and Luther Tucker
