My favorite part was where Gandalf took out a bunch of orcs with his staff while saying "SAY HELLO TO MY LITTLE FRIEND!" Love how true this show stays to the Tolkien novels!
Well don't forget when Gandalf and Lexington Steele had there "scene."...amazing, gripping, a life changer, a must see..

Should have made them read the books like Peter Jackson did with his cast. They're painfully ignorant of Tolkein.
And it eventually shows in the first two episodes that just aired. Truly appalling.

@@deceiver444 the appendix, LOTR and the Hobbit. Celeborn it's mentioned on appendix and a main role of LOTR... The ones that Amazon actually have no rights are the ones of the silmarillion so ... Where's Celeborn?
@@draeikou5476 maybe they didn't want too many white male elves in the show so they removed Celeborn ? Or maybe they'll introduce him later ? Since this Amazon series is mostly just a fan fiction, we can expect anything that has not much to do with the books.

No he specifically mentioned them. They are called Haradrim and Druedain (not elves though). But thats not why the show sucks (its the dialogue, story, characters etc).

I liked the part where galadriel wasn't a toxic leader, that followed orders, didn't ignore the well-being of the Elves under her command and made sound military decisions. Oh....wait a second.... At least she strongly and bravely took a full blast to the face from Mt. Doom while everything around her burned and died to stick it to the patriarchy!

Okay. So let's "understand" Black Panther by replacing the entire cast with Asian midgets and see how that gets received by the black community. Or "understand" The Doctor as a woman. Oh wait. That shit-show was done and we see how that turned out. The show tanked. So, Jodie Whittaker is out. Chris Chibnall is out. Hopefully, the BBC is able to salvage what's left of the show. The hate for Rings of Power is genuine. The show is what sucks. Understand that.
I don't know anything about Tolkien's world, but I do know that the events and actions of the characters in this show make *_no bloody sense._* I don't think even _they_ understood the world they were making, Tolkien or otherwise!
Also, part of the point of a franchise _is_ getting what you expect. So...

I'm only here because Markella is gorgeous. There is no such thing as a black dwarf, black elf, or black Hobbit in LotR. Tolkien was a white Englishman and wanted to create a mythology for his white English fellow folk. And, at the time, there was nothing wrong with that. Now, that has been sullied, ruined by those who have been driven to diversify something that just shouldn't have been touched. And Galadriel is not a bad-ass warrior bitch who hates everyone. This show is an utter disaster and I hope it doesn't last past season one. If you want to create a high fantasy world where there are white, black, and Asian people (the altogether most boring collection of hominids imaginable) then fine, do that. Make one up. But don't take something as precious as LotR and fuck it up because you're too stupid and lazy to create something from scratch.
