- I made this video over 2 years trying to predict who I thought would be buffed and nerfed in Smash Ultimate for fun. Never expected it to become my most viewed video. I haven't watched the full video in probably about 2 years, so I honestly did not remember a lot of what I said.

7:32 I think Larry forgot how broken Smash 4 Sonic was.
Ngl, I preferred and liked Smash 4 Sonic more than Brawl and Ultimate Sonic.
Smash 4 sonic had like 20 frames of end lag on all his aireals.and his d-air god that move SUCKS.
@@ahmadkazan7994 I know Sonics normals (exept F-Smash and Bair) sucked in Smash 4, you're talking to an ex-Sonic main.
However, Spindash was even better: it was Shield canceable - also characters had an even harder time catching up to him. The ONLY reason he wasn't top 3 in that game was because he had a bad MU against Bayo. Didn't really lose any other MUs.
I would love to see a revisit of this topic.

Remember this was the beginning of the game so mega man still had pre patch pellets. So he was actually way better at this point in the game.

9:46 What about directional air dodging out of side b. I can agree with you that his recovery buff does not do much in ultimate, but there is some mechanics that make him very slightly better than smash 4.
Dude I went back to smash 4 a couple days ago and let me say that no up b after side SUUUCKS. Even worse than Ultimate by far. But d tilt to up b is definitely a big loss for mac

feels way more buffed to me in general, like the grab combos, mecha koopa sticking to someone, side b double jump and few other things he can do more compared to his smash4 counterpart but still respect you opinion

bayonetta and zss got nerfed to hell not because of the moveset but because they dumbed down the graphics , their character models look uglier/plastic. also palutenas hair is still a towel but this time it's drenched in water and her dress is much more stiff
I didn't hate the video back then, I remember thinking that it just was not very well thought out. There were already so many comparison and speculation videos out there that made me sceptical if people were just jumping on the bandwagon with cheap content.
Little Mac being able to side B and then up B is a *huge* buff to his recovery, make no mistake. We making it back to the ledge now, bois.

Luigi is def worse yeah, sadly. They took out cyclone recovery, it doesnt rise anymore, and more important, cyclone gimp. Also his dashgrab was much better in smash 4, he was basically kind of a rushdown which isnt the case anymore in ult. Sadge.

I think Falcon could be better than in Smash 4 with all of the recent Idj combos Fatality has mined and the buffs he received in Patch 8.0 and his Usmash fix in 9.0. However, I'd take it with a grain of salt unless there is ever a possibility of offline tournaments returning

2:41 actually, with a lot of the idj setups, falcon is ridiculous. I think he’s just as good as, if not better than, smash 4 falcon
3:20 definitely nerfed, but optimal sheik is gonna be ridiculous once void perfects everything

Falcon is way worse in ultimate. have you seen his turnaround animation? He can space a safe move on shield and then get punished for retreating after

Falcon was not low tier in smash 4 no. He was low tier in ultimate when it released though

So things I have to disagree with that I have seen so far
Falcon was worse in the beginning, but holy shit the new buffs have been amazing over time. With the IDJ tech, he now has like a 0 to death if not a 5 to death in every character. Fatality has shown that he is popping off offline.
Lucas has been buffed. He just feels better. Mainly because in smash 4 everyone relied on fishing for grabs for everything, and if you had a counter to that, he would loose. Now with easier dbj inputs due to the buffer system and a few things like that. He is just more reliable.
Little mac was nerfed, but only because he was made more polarizing in his strengths and weaknesses.
Bowser jr got nerfed. But mainly because it’s his place in the meta. In general, everyone is around the same power and bowser jr was at the bottom mid. Everyone is slightly better but bowser jr hasn’t gotten any valuable buffs and he isn’t able to camp as well.
Nothing against you, I just have different opinions. I still super respect you.
I like how Little Mac was considered the worst character in smash 4 and then Larry says Little Mac got nerfed from being the worst character in the game to arguably still the worst in the game in ultimate 😂

I’d say Pac-Man is around the same. He was pretty good in smash 4 too, he just had less publicity. Abadango used to go crazy with him.
