I have been to both cities. Iloilo is the regional center due to its geographical location, making it accessible for residents of Aklan, Antique, Capiz, and Guimaras to process their documents. Business is booming in Iloilo, but unlike Bacolod, where businesses are scattered, Iloilo has a more concentrated commercial area. Bacolod is highly urbanized because of its larger population and wider land area, which provides more space for business districts. Many significant investors, such as Megaworld, Ayala, Phinma, and Rockwell, are increasingly investing in Bacolod
Iloilo is a benchmark city, even Bacolod as well as other cities in the Philippines are learning a lot from Iloilo to be at par with it in terms of city planning. So they cannot be compared, Bacolod has a lot more to do to improve their city. Although there are developments in the city but it needs to be organized. When you get into both cities you can really see the big difference.
