- This is my PICO 4 review after spending a good amount of time with it and playing VR games with this device. This PICO 4 VR device has pros and cons and I outline them all and give you my final verdict on this VR headset.

I love my Pico 4. I've had it since launch. Sitting on about 70 games.
I tried my friend quest 2 and pico 4. Pico 4 lenses look much better, and the out of the box strap+the balanced weight give superior experience.
I wasn't sure about the Pico 4 as I already had a Meta Quest 2 but about a month ago I decided to take the plunge and buy one, hey I'm so glad I did as it's leaps and bounds better than my Quest 2 so much so I ended up selling it. The one thing I regret knowing what I know now is that I should of made the switch to Pico 4 sooner! Anyone on the fence and not sure don't be you won't be dissapointed 👍 Oh your light issue maybe as you say your face shape as I've had no light coming through at all complete darkness, you can also get a small adaptor for a headset only cost £3 - $4 Ebay
Yeah, but can you play your oculus games that you purchased on pico and the games you love?

How are movies and RUclips compared to the Q2? I have the Q2 and also had the screen door for movies and RUclips annoys me.
Any suggestions on how to get a new or like new one since I heard they aren’t available in the US? Thanks
If I wasn’t already planning on investing in PSVR2 then this definitely seems like something I’d be interested in
Funny thing, I bought first PSVR2 and been so excited, but when I put them on and play couple minutes I have so bad motion sickness, tough so cos I newer have any experience with VR that's why and need more time to get used to, but after 5 months still have very bad motion sickness, anyway long story short, I'll try all triks and tips can find on RUclips how to get sharp image on psvr2 and not to get sick, none of them helps to me, so i put on sell my psvr2, but my wife really enjoy to do exercise on game call Les Mills Bodycombat, tough its to expensive have my psvr2 for this game only so i bought pico 4 and you know what i do not have any motion sickness and can play games for hours, for me its even picture quality much much better then PlayStation, only blacks on psvr2 better, hope for you psvr2 works, but this not for everyone ohh and forget mention pico 4 its 100 times more comfortable to wear, hope i help little bit for you to decide.

Can you use hotspot on iPhone 13 to connect too pico 4 looking at getting one but no wifi
I'm new to exploring VR gaming so pardon my ignorant questions. If it's connected to a PC for PCVR gaming, can I still use my PC speakers for the sound output instead of the speakers on the headset? Or will I be hearing audio output from both the headset and my speakers? And also, I've heard about having to sign up for an account or something when using those Meta VR headsets. Does this require an account? If it does, is an account absolutely necessary for PCVR gaming, especially for flight and racing sims?
i havent tested that, sorry... i think you can set the sound output device to be your speakers tho
Any devices with removable batteries is a big plus for me, I use rechargeable AA and AAA batteries, I have a bunch of them fully charged. Whenever needed you do a quick swap instead of waiting for them to charge, and there are no worries of an internal battery that is difficult to replace when it breaks down.
Actually didn't even think about the space aspect ans how itd benefit being truely wireless but your coverage of this device has been pretty tip top dude

It's just my first week into Pico 4, i am a Quest user, but the pico system has so much FREEDOM. I can finally use discord without headashes.
The extra ram makes a lot of difference. Besides the weaker library of games and apps, i really think that the Pico 4 is a way best option if you want a VR headset. Definelly not a Master upgrade if you are coming from Quest 2, but for sure a best hardware.
What is your opinion on the difference of lenses and resolution between the two
Is among us already available to the Pico 4? If so how much it cost?
can you use a headset plugged into your pc if you plug the pico into the pc? to use for vr audio

Seems like a pretty legit unit for the price. If I didn't get motion sickness I'd probably pull the trigger on it.

You maybe alright as I suffer terribly from motion sickness, I couldn't even go on antything that spins at a fairground as I'd be honking up in a min flat! I had a PSVR1 and I had slight motion issues but this Pico 4 I bought about a month ago I've had no motion sickness problems at all and myself as I said I'm very VERY sensitive, hope this helps.

VR is fantastic! One thing I always tell people before they pull the trigger on any VR is to do research on what they want out of their headset and what experiences they want to get out of it. I'm not sure how the Pico marketplace looks, but hopefully its comparable to the Meta Quest store and the application selection is decent. Thanks for your insight from your time using it!

quest 3 was able to connect to my PC through WIFI 6, and it had no lag, can this headset do that too ?
The Pico 4 has Wifi 6
Would also mention you are still able to connect your Bluetooth headphones.

Visuals were great... I was not permitted to draw direct comparisons to other devices per the contract.

So i got a totally noob question that i cant seem to find the answer to anywhere online. I recently bought a pico 4 and im trying to figure out how to change the profile pic from the default yellow dog to one of my avatars that i created. If anyone can answer that for me id greatly appreciate it. TIA.

@@ReforgeGaming I know you didn't do it. And no Google doesn't have the answer. I've seen others do it on their Pico but those vids are over 10 months old and they don't mention how to do it. Asking them is useless cuz the vid is so long ago, I doubt they or anyone will reply back.
If it wasn't for the ONLY fact that Pico 4 library is way more limited, i would surely chose it. Now i am always in a stalemate between quest 2, quest 3 and pico 4. Suggestions?
Not sure if your still looking. But I'd have to say quest 3 for sure
1. By that price is it worth it?
2. How comfortable it is compared to quest 2 or pico 4?
If i buy Quest 3 it will probably be in the future
Ive tried both and gotta say if i had to pick one itd be the quest 3
@The.Jedi.Wizard I think the price is worth it (go for the 500g version) as you have the support of meta behind it and almost every dev will go to the meta store before anywhere else. As for comfort its better than the 2 but still needs some help nothing a 3rd party item can't fix. I have the elite strap with a battery pack and you need it, or atleast a 3rd party battery pack will do the trick. Compared to the pico 4 I dunno I've never had one on. Plus you can always use rookie for "free games " on quest ;), if you're worried about the cost of games after buying the headset.
Overall with the current state of both pico and quest I think quest is your better option. It's just Overall more supported and has a bigger library of games to play with. I don't know if pico can do pcvr but that's a big plus for quest imo.

Q3 will be better, but I can't imagine going from a Pico 4 to a Q3.
The pico 4 imo is better than the quest 2 because of the weight balance not being more on your forehead and the way the strap and lenses fit on my face and head feels much better than the quest 2
I just want a vr headset capable of watching vr movies while not having a fucking facebook account. Is is good for that?
I liked the headset for its features but in some ways it is simply the better option because it had the advantage of being a new headset vs a 2 year old headset and VR tech moves pretty quickly. The Pico 4 is 430 euro and the Quest 2 is 300 euro which makes the Pico 4 a bit more of a tough sell, I also prefer the more fine tuned software of the Quest 2 but for pure PCVR the Pico 4 is the better one, but is it worth the 130 euro extra? Not sure, especially with the Quest 3 approaching.

@@skeen466 Yeah it is. I bought the pico 4 thinking it may be better but it isn't... I have tried so many times to connect it to my PC so I can use PCVR but it just doesn't work. I might have to buy an app called virtual desktop just to maybe get it working. My friend on the other hand bought the oculus and told me that he connected to his PC without a problem. Also the library on the oculus is MUCH MUCH MUCH better than the pico 4 one
@@rostislavmesko9820same for me, when i connected pico 4 with cable it was laggy and sound was corrupted. Worked flawlessly on my quest 2. Virtual desktop worked good on pico 4 though
Unfortunately the PICO 4 isn't available in the US still.
I ordered from WalMart. It comes from a 3rd party, but if issues can be returned to a local store. Should be in tomorrow.

@@rushmore3927 one thing I've heard is that you need a VPN showing you're in another country initially when you set up to get their app store to work in the US.
