For the kid that said "They're not even putting it out, they're just standing there": Firefighters don't just turn up and rush it, since it's a warehouse they've got to determine the cause of the fire. If it's a chemical that is resistant to water it'd be a suicide mission going insine.
Matthew Owen you mean I was doing it all wrong for 16 years? Investigating the cause of the fire is done after it is extinguished, finding out what is inside the warehouse is done during the extinguishing of the fire and putting water on the fire to extinguish the fire is done as soon as possible so other exposures aren't damaged or destroyed by the fire.
Dude, they don't even have SCBA on or anything their just lazy look at any American firefighting and we have all the guys in SCBA and fighting the fire or ready to if called up by command.
@@aussiefirie yeah you were doing it wrong for 16 years, there's lots of things that react badly with water, certain chemicals, certain metals. You can't just spew water all over a warehouse fire like that without determining what is burning
I adore the fire service but I find it odd that firefighters complain about pay yet the chiefs are driving expensive fricken cars like mercs and BMW's.
LifeOfAnEnglishman leased with part of the cost being borne by the officer leasing the vehicle, there is a minimum value for the lease and anything above that is paid for by the officer out of their wages.
How odd. In Queensland if you're expected to attend an incident as a manager, you do it in a service supplied vehicle. Having poorly marked vehicles could be construed as a WHS issue (not being visible enough as per emergency vehicle standards). Same with the ambulance. Op. supervisors either respond while on shift, or after hours take a marked vehicle to take home for on call jobs.
@@coover65they used to have fully market work cars but to save money the command and control element have blue lights filled to their personal vehicles
@Noisyme 02 Those were fire officer cars, not police. The police only have unmarked cars for operational reasons; as in not wishing to be seen. Fire officer cars are unmarked because they're often used as private cars and for non-response work. The cost of marking them up isn't proportionate for the amount of blue light driving they actually do.
RascarDK if things haven't changed sincy Dad's time the cars are on lease. They need to be large enough to carry 4 fire officers with full fire ground kit and have a metal roof.
Awesome variety of response vehicles from all over the London area. Mostly Mercedes among the fire appliance. It would be nice to see London sometime. And the rest of the country to of course
Wow, great video! That Plane/Jet must've got a life changing view of the Fire and the smoke lol. Some drivers are so inconsiderate and just drive over stuff like those fire hoses, I wonder how much it costed to get them replaced/repaired :(
Hi there. Is anyone aware of any footage in existence, of a warehouse fir in1a, Rutland Road, Twickenham, in February, 1984 in which the warehouse was totally destroyed by fire. I am interested as that property adjoins my home, which was severely water damaged In the incident. Any info gratefully accepted. Paul, L. LEE, owner, 1,Rutland Road.
They were the chiefs personal cars, they're allowed to put lights and sirens on them so they dont have to waste time fetching their official red fire brigade car.
Yes they are personal cars, the LFB do supply vehicles but these are bright red (obviously) and can't be used to personal vehicles so thats why the chiefs get to install lights and sirens on their own cars, and of course this will assist with a fast response time as they can travel from wherever they are without the need to collect a vehicle first!

Love the LFB Golf GTI!
Some very nice cars in this, loved that Scooby

Like most workplaces there is a massive divide between management and its workers.

Great video. They got some nice officer cars.
RascarDK if things haven't changed sincy Dad's time the cars are on lease. They need to be large enough to carry 4 fire officers with full fire ground kit and have a metal roof.

I totally miss working for LAS...London was a buzz!
+Clem Fandango Yep! Its a place like no other :)
Goose Did you retire, or decide on a career change?
Nice picture of holes in the main pipes leaking like a sieve, nice new cars though, something wrong here I think.
Some of the Higher ups got some nice cars there!!
I love all of the high performance luxury police cars.
+TheOrlandoFloridian their not police cars their fire chief's personal cars
They’re fire officers’ cars.
Emergency trains!? I jest; great video; lot's of good catches! :D
best fire officer car is the Subaru hahah
Great footage
The Mercedes Econic / Magirus has some strange blue lights on the cab.
Ok. What kind of brand they are? Playmobil? :-))
Thx for the add infos! ;)
+Benjamin Beytekin Yeah they're old strobe beacons - common in the 1990s and early 2000s. The Mercedes-Benz Econic here was registered in 2002.
CobraEmergencyVideos hi
Amazing video
Very nice video!
Very nice footage !!
Awesome video and catches!
Great video
I don't understand why so many chiefs respond. Surely they only need one or two.
Awesome video!
Wow, great video! That Plane/Jet must've got a life changing view of the Fire and the smoke lol. Some drivers are so inconsiderate and just drive over stuff like those fire hoses, I wonder how much it costed to get them replaced/repaired :(

Paul, L. LEE, owner, 1,Rutland Road.
very nice mate!
I have that crime scene cordon tape in my forensics kit we also have the police cordon tape
Great video, but how many chiefs do they need on site...?
+unit83 The expensive cars are the Fire Officer cars.
I saw one fire where they were in such a hurry that their hoses got kinks in them. Try to get water through that.
very good video!
Nice video!👍👍👍
The warehouse fire looks like the large industrial fire in Tottenham on ViperUKs channel
# abit
Nice video
cool video, but if I may ask, why so many police?
Kyle Barrett ..., they were fire officers in unmarked cars, not police.
Is this near Heathrow's airport as planes look like there comming into land
God the lfb needs new ALPs, those tower aerials (not the truck they're mounted to) are, what, 25 years old?
+hvymtal
they should be getting new appliances very soon ;)
Good, i'm surprised those things haven't fallen apart yet the frequency the LFB uses them
nice video ;)
I miss working for LFB
I remember seeing that on the news (im English) .
only 1 ladder on that fire dam if that was here n d us u would have seen like 10 or more and a shit load of pumpers
What's the hose layer unit used for and how does it work never seen one before
cracking video mate. where is the hose layer based is it ,wembley
Harrow mate
thankyou for clarification.. how long did it take them to get it all under control
4 in london
Barking, Kingston upon Thames, Beckenham and Harrow
Thankyou..
what was teh TFL ISU doing that out due the fire or just there at same time
Do they really need a VW Golf GTI and a luxury Merc to do a fire job? Cmon LFB, this isn't Qatar.
Flashy Merc, Golf GTI. That's taxpayer's money well spent. An Insignia or a regular Golf could have done the job much the same at half the cost.
fdama If you had read previous comments you'd find that those are their personal cars, just fitted with lights and sirens.
Don' t worry, in some years they will drive Reliant, MG or Mini again ;-)
Skodas all-around fast enough for London
Why so many really expensive cars responding? Consultants?
Fire chief personal vehicles
Where's Harrow
Old tornado beacons on the cars .I worked for the company that made them
just noticed, the more senior the officer, the crappier the cars they get lol,,,
How do u know that
personaly i would rather stick with the golf lol, they should start at crap mercs and give the golfs to the highest ranking officers
mortgagewizard40 lol
They were the chiefs personal cars, they're allowed to put lights and sirens on them so they dont have to waste time fetching their official red fire brigade car.
Big turnout ;o
And who burst the hose..?
and London is burning and i live by the river
Thank you Joe strummer!!!!
Why does London keep getting fires
Connor2006 Xx because its a shithole.
spinaway tell me about it
why do the chiefs get such expensive cars like a 64 plate Golf GTi??. so unnecessary
There was a £50k Merc there and you focus on the golf ? Lol. I believe they're their personal cars.
+Alex Murray That makes sense thanks for the info!
Nathan Shahid some are not chiefs some are doctors and detectives
NA ME these are senior fire personnel vehicles
I agree with connor2006 Xx why do they keep getting FIERS
Hash tag fires
lool
i dont believe you
Y u a prat
