Enjoyed your comments on her....the background is as extraordinary as the performer. At the age of three in the middle of Russia's far northern Winter she was abandoned, injured, at a bus stop where she was rescued and sent to an orphanage. At the age of 5 she was still traumatized and unable to speak properly. A massage therapist who visited the orphanage trying to help kids, was the first to recognize something special in this little girl, and eventually adopted her. Diana was sent for singing lessons because it was thought that this might help her learn to speak without impediment.
Only two years later she started singing in local theater, and in street plays and performances. And soon after was entered in a Russian TV music competition for disadvantaged children. By the age of 10 she was winning local competitions, singing on live TV shows, and her songs started showing up on RUclips. Two months ago, at the age of 18, her first performance during a new Russian television competition with several other renowned performers, has gone viral and has garnered hundreds of RUclips 'reaction' videos, and millions of viewers.
Her first song at the competition, an entirely new take on Elvis Presley's 'Can't Help Falling in Love with You' has been called mesmerizing, transcendental and other-worldly...it highlights her uniquely deep voice, and effortless range from low to high, along with her trademark dramatic and passionate interpretation. Diana Ankudinova sings mostly in Russian, English and French. She has also sung in other languages including Spanish, German and Arabic. Singing in French, at the age of 10, on a Russian TV show... a viewer: 'at the age of 5 she couldn't speak her own language, how can one see this and still doubt past lives?'

Diana has been artistic since birth. Just look at her face and eyes, you will see all the emotions there. She does not need to attract the attention of the viewer with her naked body or dancing. Diana studied not only vocals but also dances.
Greetings from Scotland! 15yo Diana at the concert in the Kremlin Palace in Moscow! This is my favourite performance of this cover song by Diana! An elongated, modified and definitely more enjoyable version than the original shorter song she performed on her first appearance at 14yo in the "You're Super!" contest. In this song, Diana can relate to many of the lyrics and emotions contained in it - as if it were written about her personally. If you know Diana's tragic childhood situation, then read through the lyrics, they could easily apply to her personal life. Her terrible birth mother gave her only pain and suffering, all she needed was a little love, a little honey (sweetness) and she would have been happy (dance, dance, dance.....) and so on. Not too much to ask, as a baby and toddler was it? As fate would have it, Diana was rescued by a fantastic family who gave her unconditional love and kindness - Look at Diana now at 19yo and see what a difference that has made to her! Great reaction.

Это было не слишком много, чтобы спросить, когда она была младенцем и карапузом, не так ли? One video of Diana's, in my sight, is a total masterpiece the like of which I don't remember ever seeing before in my long life. It's a must see for anyone that loves singing with unending emotion. The background of the song is essential to know. The title of the song is "Ornery (or "Fastidious" or "Finicky") Horses". The song has nothing to do with horses in reality - the horses are being used as a metaphor for life. The author of song is begging the horses to slow down (he is aware he is approaching death), but, at the same time he is whipping them along (his chaotic lifestyle) - he knows that his lifestyle is taking him to an early death, however, he is unable to change it.....the composer of the song, Vladimir Vysotsky, was a singer-songwriter, poet, and actor as well as an alcoholic & drug addict and died in 1980 at the age of 42. ruclips.net/video/lu8iW9BcWmY/видео.html .
