This organist NEEDS to record albums. Seriously.

It seems clear that Madame Cauchefer-Choplin shares the same generosity of spirit as her legendary colleague Daniel Roth.

After having been watching hundreds of videos about this organ, I must say that this one is the first that clearly shows that the "registres de combinaison / appels généraux" pop in automatically after having been drawn. Shame on me, but I didn't know that! Although it makes sense, of course. Thanks for uploading this video!

It depends on the keyboard combination ... if I remember correctly the pedal must be pushed manually

Wow. Pity is the mono like sound. Full stereo deepends the warmth of the organ sound.

I need the sheet music to this improvisation.

It's an improvisation! There's no 'sheet music'!

I know. I play too. But this sounds so good that I’d love to play it myself u know?

Suggestion from an organist - sit at the console and rebuild this phrase by phrase......wonderful training for our development of our musicality - no, I'm serious. Utter delight from this awesome improviser and musician of the first order eh? Go play! @@toccataforte

This organ has magnificent sound. But, the noisy keys are very distracting!!

    • @Durufle68
      @Durufle68 2 года назад +2

It's the Barker levers that make that noise

    • @davidminton5176

It takes a bit to get used to the "noise" at first, but then it just blends into the experience. Ever stand beside an organist playing a well-worn, vintage Aeolian-Skinner console? Absolutely gorgeous organ sound, "accompanied" by much clatter, chatter, and clicks...not to mention the "ka-chunk" of a vintage pneumatic combination action. Not audible to the audience, but lots of noises at the console. All part of experiencing a glorious instrument up close and personal.
