What a fantastic tutorial. Very easy to follow. I’ve almost completed my oval rug. I’ve added a marker on each of the triple DC and it gives me a visual clue that in need to do 3 DC together and that I’m about to start or end the rounded edges. This is a fun project. Thanks!
Thank you for this tutorial! I've tried a few others and just didn't like the way they were turning out but this one is perfect and the explanations are super clear, love it!
Wanted to let you know I am self taught through you tube and your video has been the best! I followed what you said about making the ovals bigger, I highlighted and wrote row 4 out according to your instructions and I was able to do it and achieve the larger oval. Thank you so much. Great instructor!
Thank you for such a clear and well explained video. It's so lovely to see the focus on the actual crochet than on the 'nails and bling' used by a lot of teachers. I have subscribed to your site as I know I will use your videos all the time. 🙂
your video is underrated. i really hopes this gets more likes. im a beginner, i started crocheting for a week or so and this video helps me a lot lol. im subscribing. thank u for making this video and keep up the good work!❤
I'm good up until round 4. Just a little confused. Would you be so kind writing out round 4, and I'm pretty sure it will all make since to me after that. I make afghans in the round all the time so I understand the concept of this. Your a great teacher. Thank you so much
I am working on a crocodile stitch watching your video... successfully learned... Could you plz clear about the yarn you are working..is this t shirt yarn. Plz post videos on how to work for rectangular chrochet door mat..
I was watching your video on how to crochet an oval, I'm working on a pattern that uses single crochet, the pattern starts out as Chain 4 , then skip the first chain then inc , in next chain, sc, in next ch, 4 single in next ch. Can you tell me how to do that with the method you used to make the oval? The pattern I'm using is done in an oval
I am wanting my oval in HDC so it is denser as I am making a cat bed would this concept work with HDC? I have tried another oval that was longer and narrower twice now and my increases haven't worked so my oval was flat.
I imagine you would need to adjust, like for example I started using single crochets instead of double crochets, so when she then put in a treble, I made a double so it sort of evens out. I hope that makes sense edit: and I just realized this comment was left 4 years ago and bear's nose is probably long done. I hope it turned out well lol
Best looking oval. I much prefer this way vs all the other videos. Thank you.
Such a great tutorial. I love how you explain the reasons for the stitches and the speed you talk is perfect for me!
Is there a written pattern for this oval? Tutorial is very precise and clear but would love to read pattern as well.

If you chain 3 slip st and work 12 dl over tail you can close like magic ring
Making the leap from round 3 to 4 using your logic is hard and i can't figure it out. Do you have a written pattern or another video on the topic?
