Saw this bike in an Instagram post of yours a couple of weeks ago. I immediately knew I had to take it for a test ride. Turns out it rides as good as it looks, so I’ve bought it. Thanks for highlighting this bike!
I couldn’t help noticing when you stopped for one of the cars you put your right foot down judging by your handle bar position, my biggest fear of riding on narrow country roads is putting my left foot down when the ground is lower than the tarmac and going over with the bike lol, nice video Liz 👍
I often stop on right, for this reason and also to give my bad (left) leg a break. Took a while to teach myself to land deliberately one way or the other and its been a real help on dodgy roads
A nice very review of a good looking bike. Thank you Liz. The longer throttle movement doesn't make the Leoncino "lazy". It makes it easier to set your speed unlike your sportbike where the throttle is more on/off buttonish. The exhaust on the trail version limits your luggage options - like on any trail bike. Why not the standard version? For the looks only? I might have considered the 500. It is almost 50 kg lighter than the 800 but the acceleration is probably not to your liking. Will we ever see your last days of you holiday on the continent? I hope so!
The Benelli Leoncino 800 Trail is a motorcycle that combines adventure and elegance, with a powerful engine, long-travel suspension, This motorbike has a compact design, fits the retro model, for me this motorbike is more efficient to use in urban areas and steep road areas, for the speed of this motorbike it is suitable for people who don't like speeding, because I am the type of person who rides casually at medium speed, this beneli motorbike is very suitable for me, responsive to shocks and gliding uphill road areas,
Certainly a looker and good value. I like your commentary and observations Liz, you have your own style which makes for enjoyable watching. Reckon a couple of bikes you should try are the Reiju 500 Adventura and CF Moto 450 MT. Both are bargain priced. The Reiju has twin tanks making it great for long journeys especially where fuel stations are infrequent. The CF Moto has great reviews and seems to be jack of all trades at a great price. Would be difficult to get hold of one at the moment because of sell out. Maybe the spring? Cheers.
Those tyres are what I had on when I went to Scandinavia they last really well and are great in the wet or dry on road good on dry off road but rubbish on wet slippery mud.
The dash starts up quite quickly. Some dash have an underpowered processor. A slow startup and laggy - there is no excuse for that in 2024. Pegs that wack the shins is one of my pet hates along with vibration, bad seats, and having GS in the name 🤣
Yea, it is an unnecessarily big engine but then there is a cheaper 500 version too, so you could compare the triumph to that one. This one is just big but at the time of decision making I decided bigger was cooler 😅
The Benelli makes twice the power of the Triumph and way more torque. It has twice as many cylinders and is almost twice the capacity so it will use a bit more fuel and you'd expect it weigh more. Triumph prices start at £5,800 for the most basic model - New pre reg Benellis 800 Leoncino Trails are £6,299. So Only £500 more for twice the power ? That makes the Triumph look expensive for what it is by comparison....

I like the gear indicator. I always forget what comes after 2.
It can get confusing!

Great looking motorbike and video
I do like your candour, R1Liz.
Perfectly executed!

Nice bike and great review Liz. Very open and honest

Great vid Liz ... nice looking bike ... good value but limited performance. Enjoy scrambling!! 👍🏻
Nice review.. between this bike and Suzuki SV 650 which one you personally prefer? And why
nice wee video Liz,💐👍
Nice looking bike you go girl 😊
😀 Are you riding on private driveways or legitimate roads?
Those tyres are what I had on when I went to Scandinavia they last really well and are great in the wet or dry on road good on dry off road but rubbish on wet slippery mud.
They’re what’s on Svarty too - great allrounder but have their very clear limits like you say.
What chin mount are you using?
i've always been curious about these bikes
cute bike
TRX850 with dirt tyres? I like!!!
Maybe I could drive the left side in England. But only until the first ring-road... 😄
you should paint that bike purple and call it punky. Pinky&Punky❤
✌😘
but eye am 5'7" t00.
😁
this bike looks like alternative version of my XSR 700
LiZzzzzzz 😊

Thankfully it’s just the shin whacking pegs from your list that haunt this bike for you. The seat is very squashy and there’s no vibration.
@@R1_Liz Cool. As I get older I get more picky and do more modding. Expensive pro level shocks and forks anyone? 🤣
Nice ! But the 500 version is just as good and you can buy a brand new 500 for £4500! Try one ? But then again bigger is better 😉x
Think I prefer the Husqvarna Svartpilen 701 to this, Go big Singles 😁
Feels like that plastic lion was left in the design as a joke but the boss liked it, so now they have to roll with it.
Think you might be right, it’s a cute conversation starter
It's way heavier than I though, judging by how it looks.
Hmm.. way too heavy to be useful, unless you stay on proper roads..🤔
When it’s going it’s quite nice because it has this really sturdy, stable feel to it.
Cool looking bike but a Triumph Scrambler 400 X would do the same job for less money, weight and fuel use. It comes in green too ;-)

Shame it’s a KTM based engine😬🫣
Be kind 🧡
@ Only saying😉…Just binge watched your latest trip. Gotta say, you’ve got a wicked sense of humour😂👍🏽
