Semester is over and we are so back. Yes, I know, I’m milking this album for all that it’s worth. But I know no better than to look at the Trending page, and that’s how I operate as someone who lives under a rock. And yet, I still like to stick my head in the clouds.
Think back to my remix of Feel My Rhythm. Disgusting, right? Well, this one tried to correct all the things that remix did wrong.
I took all the feelings I would like to imagine that my friends went through after they struggled one after another with their relationships, and applied them here. You can tell that imagination doesn’t serve itself well to what is otherwise a very real scenario.
Also, I just had to get rid of the “ladies and gentlemen, I present to you the ex” part because I was sick of it to no end. I read somewhere that the production on this song was an out-of-date copy of early 2010s teen pop, and I kept that notion fresh in my head as I composed an out-of-date copy of retro synthwave that would have been better suited for 2020.
Sometimes errors seep through screening, and I apologise in advance if the audio is a bit off (read: way off).
