IVE (아이브) - Accendio (Eeriedescent Remix)

A lot of time has gone by since my remix of Eve, Psyche and the Bluebeard’s Wife was created. I had said multiple times before that I viewed it with massive dissatisfaction as I made a couple decisions there that were… stupid. These decisions included, but are not limited to, the choice of electric guitar, choice of riff, and that remix’s rushed development, having been finished in only one day.
This remix is intended to acknowledge and fix all of the issues that plagued the Eve Psyche remix (without directly remaking it, of course). To this end I watched a few eurobeat tutorials and implemented instruments accordingly, while paying every homage I can to Eve Psyche in many of the arrangements, still naively hoping that it doesn’t sound completely identical. Knowing that Accendio is slower than eurobeat, which was the exact same scenario as Eve Psyche, I sped up the source audio again, but to a slightly slower tempo than Eve Psyche, so that I would not retrospectively believe that I had gone overboard with the speed increase. I also applied an amp preset on the sf2 guitar, which… I can’t believe it took me until now to discover the amp and how to use it. Maybe a funk guitar is possible after all.
This is also my first use of buses and automated Remix FX. I knew about Remix as early as 2018 when I was using GarageBand on my old iPad, but I had never quite figured out how to implement it after moving to Logic. Sadly it was too late to be used in Easy: The Eeriedescent Remix.
I knew that parts of the song were not really suited for eurobeat, but that’s exactly why this channel exists. The end product sounds like eurobeat and not eurobeat (trance) at the same time. Probably because I included a bunch of ideas that were to go to a scrapped trance remix. That’s called foreshadowing. Also try to catch all the references (to other remixes, not that there are many) I put in.
Sometimes errors seep through screening, and I apologise in advance if the audio is a bit off (read: way off).
