Tony Iommi is the guitarist and band leader of Black Sabbath. The same band that Ozzy Osbourne sang for from the late 60’s until around 1979.
I interviewed him last year for an online publisher and actually worked as head of Mr Iommi's protection detail when he was in Toronto in the early 90s. I'm biased I admit but I absolutely love this frag.
True and also Dio was their singer for a while as well
Black Sabbath is trash
And, as he was the principal songwriter for Black Sabbath, and because Black Sabbath is the first heavy metal band, that makes Tony the grandfather of all heavy metal music.
No disrespect on Aaron but how the hell hasn't he heard of Black Sabbath?

@@jbthetestgod I get some of that too at times. I get scents of different things with this one. Wet , and ash tray Tobacco and rum, incense and passion fruit. I am surprised incense was not mentioned

Rhrum is a specific type of Rum. It is from Martinique and is made from fresh, raw sugar cane juice, versus Rum that is typically made from molasses.
Haiti does it with raw sugar cane...cognac style distillery

So happy I snagged a 100ml when I had a chance. This stuff is amazing! Very complex and like nothing else on the market. I don’t get simplistic at all. Dense thick dark fruity perfect for a Black Sabbath guitarist and rock legend. They just announced a second fragrance by tony iommi. I need to try the second one too. Well worth the money
I dont get any chocolate. Ill have to remember that when I wear it to see if I can smell it. And thats why fragrance are so subjective. One person can smell something totally different from what I smell.
Wait, how did you get a 100ml bottle of Tony Iommi? They have only produced 50ml bottles

Xerjof is definitely created by more expert perfumers so yes.
Xerjof is definitely Bater then AMOUGE.

When i saw Aarons post on IG that he was going to review this I immediately knew he was going to like it. Its not my favorite scent but as i work through my decant, it is growing on me. Its almost a elegant "grunge" smell if thaf makes any sense. You would be the best smelling man in anybdive bar in the world, or any after hours dark themed bar. Good stuff Aaron; takes my appreciation to a whole new level.

OK now you’ve got to do Oud Maracuja by Madison Crivelli. Some say it’s similar since it’s got passion fruit. It’s the gem of my collection right now, would love to hear your thoughts on it Aaron!

Since the release, I’m kind of confused whether to buy this or not because Collaborations in perfumery is not my thing, but now that Aaron has rated this a. Perfect 10, I’ve decided to pull the trigger. I was also curious to buy Alexandria 2 but after Aaron’s video I immediately bought that and i think it is one of the finest perfumes ever made! I love the smell, and it gets compliments. Can you review some Argos fragrances like Danae or Triumph of Bacchus.
Thanks for this, there aren’t many reviews of it. Compare the Xerjoff presentation (box, bottle etc) at this price point to Tom Ford’s plastic cap bottles which cost even more than 275 for 50ml in most cases. This sounds great, maybe blind buy worthy
This was my signature scent this winter. At first sniff, I immediately thought patchouli and, being from the southern United States, pralines. After looking at the note breakdown, I'm betting it's the beautiful blending of the cinnamon, caramel, vanilla and tonka giving me the praline vibe. My wife absolutely can't stand patchouli but loves this fragrance on me (she's a gourmand lover). Great review Aaron!
Rock n roll meets classy in a bottle. One of my favourite winter fragrances. I'm downsizing my collection but I'll be keeping this one

Here's an interesting fact about Tony Iommi. He worked at an industrial factory before he did music full time, and on his last day, he accidentally cut off his middle and ring fingertips on his right hand, and he plays guitar left handed. So he had to use lighter banjo strings and also made himself prosthetic fingertips, and did a lot of power chords, which you can play on the lower strings by just using your first finger on the base note and little finger on the next two strings for the fifth and octave notes. He pretty much invented modern rock music.
RHUM is typically a certain type of rum made from agricloe (sugar cane juice) from a certain region (usually French dominant) and usually, has more funky-tones. In fragrance terms, agricole versions of rum (RHUM) are the equivalent to animalic fragrances.
I love this fragrance so much definitely a staple in my collection
Thank u Aaron awesome review, Tony iommi from xerjoff is one of my favorites, I would love to ask u if it’s possible to make a video on fragrances , notes and compounds for high heat and humidity, I live in Saudi Arabia and it’s hot and humid year round, and iam struggling to find fragrances suitable and tolerable for high heat as most perfumes I feel in particular(french) don’t last in Middle Eastern weather, much love thanks.

The Tony Iommi was my first Xerjoff bottle I bought. Didn't regret it. It's a great fragrance that not many people wear. Definitely like this alot and I would give it a 9,5 instead of a 10 because of the price. I think it was about ~250€ for 50 mil - that's quite a lot.

Hello my Friend. I own this fragrance and absolutely love it. The next in this line Xerjoff created is “Grove Xcape”. I plan on purchasing this one as well. If I remember correctly, Xerjoff is working on bringing the music world and the fragrance world together! There is a rumor that there will be a second Tony Iommi coming! Agreed. I really like this one, too. I got rid of most of my fragrances & only kept my favourite 50 scents. Monkey Special made the cut with ease.

I just got my bottle , it's a cold weather fragrance , very heavy, dark and dense, similar to Carlisle . I preferer Naxos any day over it , it's just more versatile more pleasant more smooth
Naxos is less complex, forgiving, the mainstream one from Xerjoff probably everyone likes (men aswell as women). No experimenting, just a solid daily where you can't make anything wrong.
Comparing Naxos and the Tony Iommi is just not doable, they're totally opposite fragrances :)

The new one - Tony Iommi - Deified SIGNED EDITION just came out. That package is just rocking with that skull design :D (just 650EUR/ml was way to much for me.
There is also a „normal“ deified version for ~250€/50ml without the „signed“ diamond things.

Xerjoff just released Tony Iommi Defied, the follow up to the original Tony Iommi. The notes don't seem too different but the description is very interesting. I believe it's supposed to be a darker version of the original but they added an apple note along with others. Would love to hear your review on that and the comparison between the two
Interesting he didn't mention the leather note when breaking it down. Maybe it didn't pop for him. It's what makes it rock 'n' roll!

Ordered a sample of this amongst a few other xerjoffs and had high expectations, sadly this was the only one I had to scrub off. I tried to wait an hour to let it evolve but once it hit an hour I couldn’t wait to wash it off. Both myself and a family member couldn’t detect any of the notes listed except for a really strong pungent musk :(( have tried oud maracuja and liked that, so not sure what went wrong.

It's one of few fragrances where everyone I showed this to said "WOAH THAT SMELLS AWESOME!.." The impression it gives off is bad boy rockstar vibes..Chilling in the vip section, Sippin on a rum passion fruit cocktail.

On my skin unfortunately it just smelled like someone spilled stale beer on me and my fragrance underneath was still there but dominated by this hoppy beer layer. Interesting how different fragrances can be to different noses and how our skin chemistry can affect a fragrance
