The item you think might hold makeup is likely a COTY lipstick holder from the 1930’s according to eBay. It seems to be missing the little lever from the hole to open it. I enjoyed your hunt!

I get bummed out when I haven't found gold for a few weeks. I know that if I put in enough work, I can find a ring on every hunt. I'm genuinely lazy with my settings to, not digging the tiny bits.

Some things Jim described a video or two ago, maybe 3, about the Deus II have me second guessing wanting one. Not being able to 100% control the target reject has me worried about missing targets and he showed that. It also depends on your area and the mineral content levels though, I have high mineralization in my area. That was a deep assed whole Mike and You dug for that Nickel! In case you missed Seak and Detects video make sure to tell Mike about someone calling him "The Dude", from Big Lebowski, he'll know what it means I think, a movie from '86. I don't usually pause and comment like on this one but, I thoroughly enjoyed this video, thanks for sharing it!
I’ll have to go watch that video… now I’m curious. I know on beach sensitive mode it won’t hit the iron and coins that good, but it sure does hit the gold good. Thats why, if you noticed, I’ll switch modes between sensitive, pitch, and diving if I feel like I’m not hearing everything. I run all of my sensitivity way up and any discrimination way down or 0. So far it’s been working for what I need it to do. Our beaches in Monterey are sort of mineralized, not as bad as Southern California. But the deus was slaying the gold in a field of equinoxes, you’ll see in Sunday’s upcoming video. I’ll have to do some test gardens to really know for sure.

Daniel don’t worry what people think. You and I both know you have to put in the time to find the good things. That’s why the posers give up or ridicule. The more detecting you do you should be getting better at finding things and reading the beach. Most don’t put in the time.

Why is the gold a blue color?
It gets corrosion from the alloys in the lower karat gold like 10k. I put it in CLR and it cleaned up like new. 🤙
