I have to admit, I was a little worried whether this would be good or not. But, I really enjoyed it. I think this ended up being one of my favorite episodes of Narcos.
You guys gotta stop giving Joey Diaz a hard time for mis-translations. Live interpreting is one of the most difficult, mentally taxing jobs out there. In a professional setting, you have at least two live interpreters, and they switch off every 10-15 minutes. This is because the act of interpreting puts a so much mental strain on the translator, they would tire out after in an hour or less. Mad respect to Joey Diaz!
Growing up with immigrants, i can agree lmao. They speak fluent English but there are some things/concepts that i have to explain and thats where the translation comes in. English is my first language and gujurati is my second (western Indian language) and switching between the two makes u lose some of the words after like 30 mins cuz u just start winging it haha. But i am trying to learn spanish
After his fight with Luke he turned into my favorite fighter. Definitely most entertaining. Watching Luke (Thomas) break it down I was amazed with his boxing
Ive worked with cubans and they all have the most epic stories. One guy named willfredo i worked with ate dog food at lunch for awhile because he couldnt read english. He just saw a picture of meat. Count those blessings and stay humble. #respect
Every time he speaks in his broken English, he starts every sentence with "joe". He might miss some details here and there because of not mastering the language, but the way he says "listen joe" is never lost in translation.
Alba same here, man. And Joey missed a lot of the deep stuff he talked about. Yoel is pretty smart. I liked how he mentioned that ALL exodus have been devasting not only for Cubans, but Jewish people, Chinese, etc. Hats off to Yoel. 'pa lante mi hermano!!
I understand the two languages and I really like the idea to interview another guy who speaks spanish, from Yoel Romero seems very happy and proud to tell his story. Joe did a really good job, he was patient, a listener and a curios person. I'm really glad to hear spanish in your channel, I really love this interview. Thanks
That was both amazing and hilarious. I cracked up a bunch of times because of the accent. I don't speak Spanish but I'm brazilian and if you speak Portuguese you can understand most of what they're saying. Yoel is a genuinely nice guy and a true soldier, mad respect!
I grew up in a small portuguese community and a English/Spanish speaker. The languages are very similar, you can communicate well with your spanish to a portugee or vice versa.
Yeah dude i'm brazilian too and i can understand a lot of spanish too, if the dude speaks slowly like Yoel does here. The funniest thing here is Joey adding "fucking", "shit" etc. "You have to become a fucking machine" made me cry bro.
Yoel is a terrifying human being. U can picture him picking flowers one minute and the next turning Weidman's head into a fucking ashtray with a flying knee. Mad respect.
As an american with hispanic family...that romero story is very amazing. I live in Miami...i heard many stories from my fellow cuban friends. Its very very heart breaking. From my own family...its sooo hard.
A Diaz, Romero mentioned the Peter Pan thing (apparently, it was a relatively large immigration of children from Cuba to the US), which they didn't delve into, but my Cuban buddy told me about it a few weeks ago. He's 52-yrs-old now and came here from Cuba when he was 8-yrs-old, now ICE is trying to deport him after all that time. It's fucked up.
This was so fun to watch. How interesting Yoel is? A fucking beast and freak athlete with insane upbringing and lifelong training, makes it out of Cuba and is a top MMA fighter at his age; and still seems like such a friendly kind guy. Fantastic
Not trying to hate, but that's not entirely true. What he missed was minimal but at times it was frustrating because he did miss easy details to translate
I’m impressed how sober and engaging joey was!! He has a tendency sometimes to monopolize the conversation and he didn’t do that here really good episode
Joygernaut M That's because Joey is an intelligent guy and he's Cuban. He's talking to a guy someone who is telling a story he grew up hearing and I'm sure it reminds him of his family and friends growing up.
I love at 29:10 when Yoel describes where he was training, he motions drawing a bow towards Joe while saying in Spanish "I trained in the woods, I trained where Joe hunts"
Literally why I love Joe Rogan and Joey Diaz. Breaking language barriers. Imagine if the rest of this planet was so interested in learning from ppl in other cultures like this.
Mr Smith you are what’s wrong with the world. I don’t understand how any of what I said makes me liberal cuckholded and gay. I think somebody’s a little homophobic and uneducated. Maybe you can enlighten me...I guess I’ll just learn every language fluently starting with Cuban. Get a life other than fornite and pornhub.
i'd say he tried his best. Personally found it funny what (joey) heard and choose to translate correctly. Yoel sounds well read. i didn't miss much. just nice to listen to yoel's story.
Mikey trust me a lot was missed due to poor translation. Had the communication been better, I think Joe would've/could've gone more in depth. Many word's translated werent even the correct words that were meant to be conveyed. I was personally frustrated because I know for a fact Joe would've gotten more out of the Tim Kennedy story, etc.
I admire Yoel Romero I could imagine a fighting/street movie with this guy as the mentor role, involving real issues living in the hood omg Oscar nominee
48:29 Yoel in Spanish: "Pertenencias y el cavader de su familia que hace una semana habia salido antes" Yoel real translation: "belongings and the carcass of a family member that had leave one week before" Joey Translation: "Brothers have found on the journey to the jungles of colombia, their found their brothers carcasses, like eaten, by a lion.." ...WTF
Everyone knew what he meant, you have to take joeys translation with a grain of salt. The guy said lions are in South America, he bs all the time hahaha
I speak a decent amount of Spanish and knew he mistranslated that a lot but I expected it given Joey is adding his own touch like any interpretater and it’s Joey Diaz so if u expected it to be perfect u have never watched JRE
I speak about half of spanish and when I'm high i understand a lot more much easier and translate like a boss. Joey is translating yoel's words directly but then he interprets it his way.
A. P. Im puerto rican and have lived all my life here, i can tell you he translated good enough for a person who doesn't dedicate his time to it, joey diaz esta cabron, mucho talento de su parte!
Wow! This man has seen some intense shit. And Americans complain about our silly first world problems. This man has taken some insane life issues and made an amazing life for himself. Dude is an inspiration.
Saint Toof he’s talking about america as a whole compared to other countries. I’m cuban, and thankfully most of my family has moved out of cuba now. I was born in miami thankfully, but some of my cousins weren’t as fortunate. Yes there are parts of the US thar are dangerous and tough just like any country, but you still have internet, water, a/c in most of the US. Whereas in cuba, and other places in Caribbean like haiti barely even have that. But to compare the worst part of chicago to a third world country is just ignorant. 2 completely different places and unless you live/personally know people who have lived through it you will never understand. For example, back in about 2007 everyone in my family put some money to pay basically a mob/coyote type of group (I dont remember the name because I was young at the time), to have my cousin be put on a boat to come to miami. Of course this is illegal so it costed thousands. Not only that, but if you were caught trying to escape cuba you’d go to jail and basically you’d be fucked. The first attempt my cousin had to hide in bushes for a few hours because there were scouts along the coast of cuba looking for people trying to escape. The next day he made it back to his house and lied to the police saying he had to go to work or something. Eventually, he made it on the boat and once in miami he lived in my house for a couple months, started working under the table, and eventually got his citizensip. A year later our family did the same thing to bring his wife over, and his mom a few years after that. Now they have a kid and he’s saving up money to buy his own gas station and start that business. The reason im saying all of this is because it’s 100% true and a lot of people in america don’t understand how badly foreignors/refugees want to come here to make a better life. So im sorry for the long comment but it really hits close to home when people don’t know what they’re talking about, especially when it comes to cuba. Cubans are the hardest working people i have ever met, and are still so full of life, positivity and motivation to succeed. I hope someone reads this and gets another perspective on cubans/foreigners. Have a good day.
I came from cuba when I was 11 in a raft 12 years ago. And I can definitely say USA is the best country in the entire world. I just got my bachelors and in the process of entering dental school
Lol just to clarify some shit Joey fucked up at 1:52:00 Yoel said he goes by 2 types of [Codes] not “colleagues” #1 is the Street Code #2 is the Sport Code And they both go hand and hand Yoel thinks Tim Kennedy doesn’t have either one of those. Basically saying when Tim was playing dirty and grabbing his gloves he didn’t say shit or complain about it and fought through it but the moment Yoel did it back to him Tim immediately snitched to the ref and started complaining and so on
Always one dipshit who has to throw in that he was in NZ for 3 months of his life but every single aspect and influence on his career and life was a result of living in Australia hahaha, like Mark Hunt said, theres fuck all oppurtunity in NZ and he'd still be on the pipe in South Aukland if he'd never come to australia
William Morton bro, I'm just a kiwi who wants to go on the Joe Rogan podcast....I'm with you... I have been living in Oz for 10 years. Just a comment for a laugh. All good boss.
This was awesome! One of my favorites if not my favorite for sure. Doesn't get more real than this. I was a Yoel Romero fan before but now I am a true fan. Listening to his stories about the Cuban exodus and the feeling they get when they finally reach the US just reminds me how truly great this country is, even with all of its faults, and why we need to hold on and never let it fall. Thank you Joe, Joey and Yoel. You all are truly amazing human beings. Mucho Gracias and much love
“How common” “que tan común”... doesn’t sound weird at all. How common and is there a lot is different. But whatever floats the boat of you bad translators.
Well, Joe asked how common is it expecting a quantity response like Very common or something like that but when Joey translated he asked "Is Marihuana Common?" So both of them answered "Yes, it is common"
Coolissim0 Unl1mited cause most people judge him for the stool gate and USADA suspension. Especially new fans. Me personally I am gratefull that such an athlete chose to compete in mma.
He is sueing the company for a suplement tainted with a forbidden substance. And the controversy with Tim Kennedy is certainly not his fault, the cutman works for the UFC,and the ref also failed to take action. Yoel Romero is probably the most legit athlete to compete in the UFC and people judge his whole 20 year carreer for a 30 second confusion.
Potentially my favorite JRE ever. In between Joe and Joey on the same one and Joey translating for Yoel with his great stories. This is the kind of content you aren't getting anywhere but JRE (well Joey's podcast as well but Rogan wasn't there so shrug...)
This was one of if not my #1 favorite JRE. Yoel is truly a Soldier of God, and Joey Diaz is a great interpreter. Rogan seemed a little lost at times, but I followed it all. At times it was almost like Rogan was interrogating Yoel, but every answer was graceful and believable. Even when Yoel admits that the extra 30 seconds saved his ass, he says he didn't do it on purpose, and I believe him.
It was a great interview but you would of really loved it if they had a real interpreter. Joey was the one confusing Joe because his Spanish is not so great.
Do more shows like this! Joey can translate for the Spanish language guests, someone else can do Portuguese etc. This opens up a whole new world of guests. Next step, interviewing world leaders. Joe Rogan, the future Larry King!
And I'm Salvi, I'm definately not trying yo knock Joey Diaz but there's been a few times where I felt like he didn't translate too well and the word "lento" a 3 yr old would know
Probably by far one of the best podcast Joe did in a while. Especially with a MMA fighter. The translation was superb! Romero is going to be a future champion that’s for sure.
1:52:00 Yoel: There are two codes when fighting. One code is from the streets and the other one is sportsmanship, I don't think Kennedy has either. Joey: There are to colleagues. Some of them are from the street and the others are from sports. Kennedy has neither. Joe: Huh?
Shah Poo7 honestly I think he did an okay job but there's a lot of things that yoell said that aren't easy to translate. And there's some details about stories that yoell says that Joey skims over but you get the gist of it.
If Joey Diaz was a U.N. translator, after 45 minutes into the job, we would either have a nuclear holocaust or total world peace.
Lol there's nothing like running into gold comments like these
Dude. He is killing me! LOL! Good dude. Terrible translator.
I can kinda agree haha but bro. In context, Joey did a hell of a job here. I mean Yoel was relaxed and so was Joe. Joey did a fine job. That being said I totally understand where you are coming from knowing Joey haha. Would have loved seeing him translate between Fidel and Kennedy in an alternate universe lololol
I would love to see coco translate for Fidel that would be gold
Thats the kinda translator I would want
I speak Spanish and a lot of things that he was saying were deeper than Could be explained he is really smart I'm impressed
A hard life garners great perspective.
Luiz Nicomedes why did the beginning of your comment sound like perfect English but then you started to have broken English take over at the last sentence ?
Yes it was very deep....intense! Joel's story is fascinating and I'm glad everybody got to see and hear this side of him
It kinda hard to sound well spoken when your translator is Joey Diaz lol Yoel : "I send ten dollars my family gets 8." Joey "They take half my money Cocksuckers!"
@@luiznicomedes1670 No bruv its because you can't make a direct translation
I like how Joey adds "fucking" to his translations, Yoel didn't swear even once.

He said "stop talking shit" in English at 1:43:00-ish
That's funny
Tapona Ramos Exactly 😂
Lol sweet
Yoel never said one single cuss word. Joey translated like a 1000 F words lol

Meech4500 prime Mike Tyson wore it better but only slightly
I’m wearing it right now but I just wanted to see what it looked like for a sec now it’s stuck
Yoced Decoy did u call the fire department? Think u might be stuck forever bro
Joe "they're talking in cuban" rogan
Joe: how common is marijuana in Cuba? Yoel: ........... sí 😂
Naw it’s because Joey translated asking if there is a lot of marijuana in Cuba. That’s why he said yes
Where's that?
This was so fun to watch. How interesting Yoel is? A fucking beast and freak athlete with insane upbringing and lifelong training, makes it out of Cuba and is a top MMA fighter at his age; and still seems like such a friendly kind guy. Fantastic
Mad respect, he just became my new hero after Fedor.
Yoel called demetrious Johnson "mini mouse" 😂
lr2119 pls write time code of this moment!
I laughed my ass off when yoe calling demetrius johnson as mini mouse.. because he is small and dark.. lol
Сергей Дюгай around 2:08:00
LOL, I missed that.
that made my day lol
Nothing was lost in translation, joey is stoned TO THE GILLS translating live on the fly like a SAVAGE!
Fresh Bluntz that’s what I thought bro. He is a great translator . It’s not always word by word but he gets the direct meaning effectively.
Not trying to hate, but that's not entirely true. What he missed was minimal but at times it was frustrating because he did miss easy details to translate
Fresh Bluntz he was pretty bad at translating
We got the whole spectrum of opinions right here^^^ nice lol
🤣🤣 i was thinking the same thing hahaha
“Yoel, how tight do you want your shirt to be?”
“Yes.”
Big Johnson underrated comment
Yoel-"si"
Spray on.......
He looks good tho
Big Johnson it’s like a 2nd skin! Well strange
I’m impressed how sober and engaging joey was!! He has a tendency sometimes to monopolize the conversation and he didn’t do that here really good episode
He was there to do one job and he did it very well.
Talk about low expectations.
Joey monopolized the conversation a couple of times. Yoel needs a better translator. Joey seemed good on paper but it kinda fell short.
Joygernaut M That's because Joey is an intelligent guy and he's Cuban. He's talking to a guy someone who is telling a story he grew up hearing and I'm sure it reminds him of his family and friends growing up.
I agree. Surprised and pleased
I love at 29:10 when Yoel describes where he was training, he motions drawing a bow towards Joe while saying in Spanish "I trained in the woods, I trained where Joe hunts"
Lol so funny 😂😂😂
Literally why I love Joe Rogan and Joey Diaz. Breaking language barriers. Imagine if the rest of this planet was so interested in learning from ppl in other cultures like this.
Dmitri Wicklander
I am. Started learning Russian last summer to understand my neighbor country better :D
Dmitri Wicklander great point.
1000% great comment
barbara Corcoran That's Spanish tho 😂
Rewatched it 6 years later. Fkn beautiful.
Im right here with you
I've seen Joey Diaz do the job of a translator, i can die happy now.
Viva Cuba para siempre. 🆓
saam77 he is a fucking good translator!
Seen Joey clicked and enjoyed.
Horrible translator. Joey was raised in the NE.
i'd say he tried his best.
So I was a Yoel fan before, now I am a straight up Soldado de Dios FANBOY! This dude is awesome
Jesse Hilton n
" I make a oopercut like desss"
- Yoel Romero
CreativeProcess LMAO. Excellent.
Lmao I read that in Yoels voice
"I make wresslin in Cuba"
Daz 187 21:01
Broken english with his accent gives him a 10% boost in power,i'm telling you.
I admire Yoel Romero I could imagine a fighting/street movie with this guy as the mentor role, involving real issues living in the hood omg Oscar nominee
UFC SIGN JOEY DIAZ AS YOUR NEW TRANSLATOR PERFECTOOOO
I love joey Diaz but he's translation isn't good närområdet Spanish to English. I get doe that they had to go with what they had
lol...
I knew there would be Spanish speaking haters.. bunch of bitches
Joey's translation wasn't at all that bad, to translate Spanish Cuban you need another Cuban; anyone one else would struggle haha.
I think he did a alright job....he fucked up alotta times but for the most part he did a better job than the UFC translators
"Not only be a machine in a fight be a machine in life" powerful shit that's why he's a savage much respect
1:47:00
yoel romero: becau no havee nothin
joey diaz: because they have nothing
Eric Holder 😂 lol
😅
😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
I’m at 5 minutes, clicked this time stamp, laughing too hard to watch anymore
I wouldn't have got that without the translation
48:29
Yoel in Spanish: "Pertenencias y el cavader de su familia que hace una semana habia salido antes"
Yoel real translation: "belongings and the carcass of a family member that had leave one week before"
Joey Translation: "Brothers have found on the journey to the jungles of colombia, their found their brothers carcasses, like eaten, by a lion.." ...WTF
Uncle Diaz translating like a fucking wizard, while high as fuck. Amazing
lirbic not really, hes actually a pretty bad translator but people are constantly dick riding him so they say hes good
I speak about half of spanish and when I'm high i understand a lot more much easier and translate like a boss. Joey is translating yoel's words directly but then he interprets it his way.
No. Ernesto is correct and Joey did a shit job. This is coming from a Cuban American.
Tremendous
A. P. Im puerto rican and have lived all my life here, i can tell you he translated good enough for a person who doesn't dedicate his time to it, joey diaz esta cabron, mucho talento de su parte!
Joey Diaz should be in the ufc instead of snoop dogg he’s a lot more funny than snoop, and got much more respect for the sport/fighters.
Totally agree!
agreed, especially when snoop posted that ridiculous video of him trashing mcgregor after the mayweather fight. hurts the brand he is working for
maka veli Except for Dern lol
maka veli it's cause of his fame
UFC 300
Joey Diaz vs snoop dogg
Romero with the black panther suit on
Jesus Gonzalez hes ufc’s black panther
wakanda foreva
Yoel is a straight up quality human! Love this guy!!!!!!!
This podcast was amazing getting to know more about yoel. Joe please do a podcast like this for khabib
In Russia they eat pudding first.
Fuck yes!
Uncle Joey translate for Khalabeeb!
Wasim Gulam I bet Nate Diaz would be an awesome guest as well.
Wasim Gulam Dis iz numba Juan bullshit
Wow! This man has seen some intense shit. And Americans complain about our silly first world problems. This man has taken some insane life issues and made an amazing life for himself. Dude is an inspiration.
Yeah man
Head over to Little Rock or Flint. Maybe South Side Chicago if you're feeling brave. Then specify where exactly the first world in America is.
So very true!!
Wholeheartedly agree
I would buy a UFC PPV just to see Joey Translate for Yoel in the Octagon
Hilarious!
I came from cuba when I was 11 in a raft 12 years ago. And I can definitely say USA is the best country in the entire world. I just got my bachelors and in the process of entering dental school
David Sabtibanez 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽
Yoel's a dentist as well. His specialty is knocking out teeth without antiseptic.
Felicidades
US is trash you woulda been better off in Canada bruh!
Joshua Donald US is the best country of the world to me
1:05:30
Yoel: These trainers did this for 20 years. (In spanish)
Diaz: These trainers that they had are fcking top notch!
😂😂😂 A fcking G
Soul omfg!!!😂😂😂
Soul 😂😂😂😂
Soul I could tell already. Cuz my ex girlfriend was spanish and I had to constantly
Classic Joey at his best🤣
Interpret and translate are 2 different things
Lol just to clarify some shit Joey fucked up at 1:52:00
Yoel said he goes by 2 types of [Codes] not “colleagues”
#1 is the Street Code
#2 is the Sport Code
And they both go hand and hand
Yoel thinks Tim Kennedy doesn’t have either one of those. Basically saying when Tim was playing dirty and grabbing his gloves he didn’t say shit or complain about it and fought through it but the moment Yoel did it back to him Tim immediately snitched to the ref and started complaining and so on
Mauricio Quiros thank you
tim kennedy big bitch
Wow that’s pretty important
Mauricio Quiros yea I love Joey but his translating is just as bad as Ronda's UFC career
Isaac A so not that bad?
lmao when joeys so stoned he repeats what yoel says in spanish
I love how Yoel says "das ist" when he wants to say "this is" :D No forget Germany, Yoel !!
I lahh you Mayyk
I caught that too xD
Joe if you want to get Robert Whittaker on I'm willing to come help translate from Australian.
I'll help as I believe he's originally from NZ.
Lucas Cruz no shit Sherlock, that one went straight over your head
LOL
Always one dipshit who has to throw in that he was in NZ for 3 months of his life but every single aspect and influence on his career and life was a result of living in Australia hahaha, like Mark Hunt said, theres fuck all oppurtunity in NZ and he'd still be on the pipe in South Aukland if he'd never come to australia
William Morton bro, I'm just a kiwi who wants to go on the Joe Rogan podcast....I'm with you... I have been living in Oz for 10 years. Just a comment for a laugh. All good boss.
Yoel just became one of my favorite people ever
Yoel is an amazing story teller. Even when I can't understand what he's saying I can understand him. lol....
rk702 I understand Spanish because I'm also Cuban I never knew he existed I'm proud to be Cuban he's Amazon
Amazing *
Joey was a better translator than that guy at Romero vs. Israel weigh-in, lmao!
If you wanna see running
Go see bolt
Romero - "lo voy a disfrutar"
Joey - "he's going to fuking enjoy it"
This was awesome!
Joey diaz with the translations LIKE A DOCTA
UNBELIEVABLE! I'm blown away by how quick and accurately he was translating!
Steele Beats like a foot docta lol
Not really
Dude!!! This was such a badass episode!!! Yoel is amazing, genuine and a happy soul...
32:04
Joe- “So how did you get to the United States”
Yoel- “~United States~”
🤯🤣🤣🤣
lmfaooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Thank you Joey Diaz. Learned a lot about Yoel Romero today.
Joe: How common is marijuana in Cuba? 1:48:34
Yoel: Si
Joey: Si
joey rephrases a lot. Joey asked yoel "is there a lot of weed in cuba?" instead of asking how common
“How common” “que tan común”... doesn’t sound weird at all. How common and is there a lot is different. But whatever floats the boat of you bad translators.
1:02:43 methodology
Mayank Mehra Joe “ can’t go one day without asking about weed” Rogan 😂
Well, Joe asked how common is it expecting a quantity response like Very common or something like that but when Joey translated he asked "Is Marihuana Common?" So both of them answered "Yes, it is common"
Yoel Romero ... what a fucking man.. this podcast made have tons of respect to "Soldier of God"
And why you didn't respect him first place?????
Coolissim0 Unl1mited cause most people judge him for the stool gate and USADA suspension. Especially new fans.
Me personally I am gratefull that such an athlete chose to compete in mma.
He is sueing the company for a suplement tainted with a forbidden substance.
And the controversy with Tim Kennedy is certainly not his fault, the cutman works for the UFC,and the ref also failed to take action.
Yoel Romero is probably the most legit athlete to compete in the UFC and people judge his whole 20 year carreer for a 30 second confusion.
Ninja Turtle*
J Bonner No excuse for Kennedy cheating by holding his glove which led to him being rocked.
Damn I've seen this whole interview like 5 times. I love it.
It's amazing
Yoel is the man.
How can anybody hate this guy killer in the octagon and a sincere human being outside the cage. True champion can't wait to see you do work again!
Do more shows like this! Joey can translate for the Spanish language guests, someone else can do Portuguese etc. This opens up a whole new world of guests. Next step, interviewing world leaders. Joe Rogan, the future Larry King!
would be awesome if he had khabib on, another humble "cut the bullshit" type of fighter
I love coco, but his Spanish is terrible lol. Someone fluent would make this better.
This is one of my favorite podcast hands down. Yoel is a legend
Yoel is dressed like a Cuban drug lord . Fly as shit.
rings, rolex and the chains......nigga got his inner scarface poppin.......straight outta the sun ray apartments in miami....chi chi get the yayo lol
Sun Ray? Just tearing Marta apart.
Niccolo Machiavelli haha
The kevlar out fit for u punks
Benny Walnuts He also has the dead bodies buried in his bk yard to match....
Yoel’s shirt looks like it has some of that Wakanda technology and it just forms around him
Marty Michaels Lmao that shirt is made of Vibranium😂😂
Marty Michaels Wakanda forever!
Marty Michaels idiot
Marty Michaels It's special woven materials to provide electronic stimulation to all upper body muscles. that's why he's hard as marble.
#brownpanther
Joey- Africa is a huge country
Joe- Well it's a continent.
Russia is not bigger
Lol
23% of Russia is on the Eurasian continent
77% of Russia is on the Asian continent
Asia is the largest continent. Russia is not a continent.
fucking idiot... Canada is bigger than Russia and Africa combined
@John LMFAO
This was great. Mix of humbleness with some Joey energy slapping sauce on the translations. One of my fav eps
Why is Joey Diaz not the resident spanish translator for the ufc?...
Tong BokeZ Because his Spanish isn't that great
Grim Murdoch Whaat what are you talking about I'm from Costa Rica and his spanish is natural
And I'm Salvi, I'm definately not trying yo knock Joey Diaz but there's been a few times where I felt like he didn't translate too well and the word "lento" a 3 yr old would know
Because hes not that good at it
I’m Cuban and speak Spanish very well he fucked up a couple of times and i cringed but still did a good job.
Probably by far one of the best podcast Joe did in a while. Especially with a MMA fighter. The translation was superb! Romero is going to be a future champion that’s for sure.
Rundi
Joey can't translate shit.
JessMan508 Joey translations are amazing 😂
1:52:00
Yoel: There are two codes when fighting. One code is from the streets and the other one is sportsmanship, I don't think Kennedy has either.
Joey: There are to colleagues. Some of them are from the street and the others are from sports. Kennedy has neither.
Joe: Huh?
JessMan508 Nobodies perfect at translating on the spot Joey just added his own twist to it.
yoel looks like a straight up ninja tutrle
nLesLiFe if anything he’s Leonardo with Raphael fused in one bottle of wtf is up with the UFC not promoting this badass
Hung Solo Yeah honestly the Costa Romero fight should’ve been more promoted
That makes him the brother of Russell Westbrook and Kylian Mbappé
I feel like he can speak fluent English and he’s just fuckin with them
I'm sorry for everyone who doesn't speak Spanish this episode is so much better when you can understand everything yoell is saying lol
Horacio G agree! Uncle Joey did his best tho 😂
how accurate u think is his translation as someone who understands spanish ?
Shah Poo7 honestly I think he did an okay job but there's a lot of things that yoell said that aren't easy to translate. And there's some details about stories that yoell says that Joey skims over but you get the gist of it.
Same here it could've been better but it was good overall, he should bring him back to the podcast to talk more about Cuba, it's very interesting
Davo I agree
I learned to speak better Spanish in the last couple hours than 4 years at High School!
This is the first time I’ve seen Yoel talk about himself, I like him, he seems like a nice guy.
TheOzflyer he is, a premium human, better than most
I love listening to these while working, time flys so fast , Diaz is my new favourite uncle everyone wishes they had
