  • The Rome Ravine Snowboard - Selected for the Whitelines 100 Snowboard Awards
Despite all the shapes on offer these days, few snowboarders actually load their bags with more than one deck - especially if they’re flying. The all-mountain, one-board-to-do-it-all quiver killer therefore remains the biggest segment in the market. In the past, these were almost indistinguishable from park decks, being twin tips with a stiffer, slightly directional flex and/or a subtly set back stance. But what the new wave of silhouettes has proven is that fully directional boards - done right - can still mix it on jumps while delivering proper, grin-inducing float in powder. Enter the Rome Ravine.

Hi guys! Love your reviews, keep up the great work! I'd love to know your thoughts on three boards that you have reviewed. I'm trying to pick one of them. I would love your thoughts on which one you'd go with. I'm choosing between the battalion beyond medals. Whatever, the Rome Ravine, and the Jones Stratos. I'm looking for a daily driver to ride typically Aussie conditions. I spent very litte time in the park, I mainly just rip all mountain. My previous board was a Rome Sawtooth which I loved! Look forward to hearing your thoughts. Cheers!

I dont think they have changed it since then. They changed the ravine select to be more aggressive for this year tho.

Thanks for another awesome review! I’m definitely got this on my radar. Currently riding 21 Rome agent after watching your review on that last year. Great board but looking for a more directional carver yet retain the fun and playfulness of the agent. 5’8 142LB 8.5 boots thinking 152. How would you compare the Ravine to the agent?
Thanks and keep the killer vids coming.
    Cheers!

Its good for carving but not gonna be nearly as playful, different camber profile will totally change how this rides. Maybe you should look into the Stale Crewzer or Freaker if you want to replace the Agent. You should check out the stalefish if you want to start more of a quiver, I have a ton of fun on the fish when I'm not riding park.

@@GStudiosStopmotion cool thanks for info! Was looking at Freaker and Crewzer also....Getting Stale fish might be way to go and expand quiver. How's it on regular / hard pack groomer days? I Only get hand full of fresh powder here so that's why wasn't on my radar but if it's as good as Agent I would totally jump at that looks like crazy fun nimble board and would be killer for tree runs which I hope to do more of this year.

@@Madshovel the stalefish rips a carve on groomers still for sure. The predominantly camber profile lends well to the stability and speed while carving.

@Madshovel it has a pretty nice and fluid edge to edge transmission as well. Just make sure you get the appropriate size for you. It's volume shifted so you don't wanna go huge with it unless you're riding deep stuff a lot. It'll be a lot more nimble but still wide enough to lay a carve at a slightly smaller length. They still have some older models floating around online for great deals right now too.

    Hey there, amazing review!
Could I ask about sizing please?
    I’m 5ft11 at 168lbs uk10 boot size. Found a good deal on a 2022 158. Would you say 155 or 158? Many thanks 🏂🏂

which is the best Rome board for groomed slopes? for carving, that keeps stable on icy terain? and confident for speeding?
I currently ride a Rome Reverb Rocker from 2019 and would like something that 2 steps better for the above mentioned things.
