    my top 7 so far:
    1. Netherlands (the best so far)
    2. France (fairly-balanced song that everyone can enjoy; a bit disco in the instrumentation)
    3. Spain (reminds me of Meghan Trainor combined with several soft-rock sounds)
    4. Germany (appreciating the simultaneous singing and usage of sign language)
    5. Ukraine (catchy chorus, but "awkward" bridge)
    6. Poland (some memorable parts, especially the "UUUU UUUU" part; but the rest is a bit forgettable)
    7. Albania (the most lackluster so far, but it could change in the revamp)

The standard of the JESC songs this year is insane, I genuinely like all of them so far. I have to keep reminding myself that these are kids - I already know that The Netherlands, France and Spain are going to be high on my Spotify stats this year, I’m a bit obsessed with all three. Excited to see what the UK produces too (if they happened to send a boy, they would probably stand out a lottt in this line up).

The song from Albania is a combination of Christina Aguilera "Hurt" ......and the song "Creep" by Radiohead (in my opinion).

The backing voice is hers in bass she is 13 and has that powerful voice and singing live outside pyramida building build during the communist era and just got remodeled. It’s difficult to sing for a kid. Yes might sound a little adult but so was Armenia two years go. She will revamp it and I heard she might not be alone on stage. She will do great and will reach the top. But honestly whatever Albania sends junior or adult Eurovision westerns will have comments. By the way it’s good to see you here Shane I was waiting for your comments so I appreciate your support. France and Albania are my favorite so far. To have quality doesn’t mean to be bop

I agree, I don't understand why this fandom doesn't really like the albanian song, I love it, it's among my favs of this year so far. Sure it's not really kid friendly but still I can't help but like this. This fandom will again be surprised by the results this year...nobody saw Azerbaïdjan coming top 5 in 2021, I can see the same here. It's a very nice song, well produced and sung perfectly, jurors will love it.

How'd I just see this video now 😲, RUclips notifcations didn't notify me of this one ( I was watching the Ireland and Scotland rugby match so perhaps thats how 😂)
In terms of these songs, some notes:
Albania: I love this so far and I think it has potential to be even better with a revamp. I dont know if Albania is as inclined to revamp for jesc as esc but I think it needs it, just to be more impactful. Ive seen some comparisons for this song to other songs like Rihanna love on the brain, which after listening to them are quite valid ngl 🥴. I do tend to like jazzy and dramatic songs so this is prob up there in terms of Albanian jesc entries for me.
Agree on this song being perhaps too mature to be fully appreciated, I think jurors may reward it somewhat, the online vote less so.
Ukraine: Admittedly, there were one or two other songs in this nf that I preferred (studio version), however visually I think this is doing whay it needs to do and it embodies the jesc spirit, sonically its not as much for me as Albania is but its great for jesc and is very likeable. Fully agree with the Luna comment.
France: This song strikes the balance of appealing to older and younger audiences as it has a youthful feel whilst feeling somewhat mature still. Also, love requiem, can def hear the similarities vocally in the opening part. This song has grown on me, I was a tad lukewarm on it initially but I do like it now. This could easily be top 3 of the jury. Also I believe Zoe, like all the other French jesc participants was on the voice kids so she's both able to sing live and should be comfortable with being on stage.
Spain: When I heard she was announced and some clips of her performances (I'm guessing on the voice) were going around, I was hoping Spain would do a ballad because this singer is more than capable of delivering it. I concur with your comments, this song is fun, it sounds like it'd be in a teen summer movie and Its an earworm.
In terms of all the released songs (and Portugal is releasing their song tomorrow 🥳) I like all of the songs so far, some I really love like Albania and the Netherlands, others I quite like like Spain and France and then although Ukraine's song is not as much my cuppa tea , its still a very competent effort.
This year looks like it'll be strong.
    In terms of my top
    1. The Netherlands
    2. Albania
    3. Spain
    4. France (pretty much neck in neck with Spain ngl)
    5. Germany (already like it, especially with the sign language, looking forward to hearing the full version)
    6. Poland (we know Poland will prob revamp and I think that'll elevate it for me)
    7. Ukraine
(in saying that, I do quite like my top 6 and Ukraine's still decent)

You said so yourself, is Albania's song for JESC? Well, personally no. I think that's the reason why it's not so much popular despite being a good song and her having a great voice. France does always great in JESC, my fav so far this year!
