Its the bridge from the 'Calm Before The Storm' suite, breaking into the Hornpipe 'Winnipeg Forger' (also from the same suite), written by Don Bradford. Sheet music for the Suite is in 'The Full Monty' by PM Ryan Canning. Eric Stein is in one Terry Tully's books.
I'm ashamed to say I don't or more I can't remember what this tune is called but it's done brilliantly my father and his two brothers was members of St Sebastian pipe band my father was the all England drumming champion 1959 and later was a world champion in the late sixtys with mount Carmel pipe band from Salford greater Manchester. ...
I hope to join that band in a few years, I'm heading down to Southern Institute Of Technology in Invercargill after I complete NCEA level 3. Not too long to go :)
As someone that has been a pipe major, I have to say absolutely amazing performance. The music is on point and I can't find an issue with the timing. However at 0:17-0:20 only half of the band brought their hands to the proper position.
What a great set of tunes. We have started to play the set in our band - not at that speed yet, but getting to it :). In the 4th part of the Winnipeg Forger there are harmonies which I have tried to figure out unsuccessfully so may I ask you kindly to get the harmonies from you? That would be great :D. Many thanks Matthias
Definitely grade 1 my dad was 1959 all England drumming champion and a world champion with mount Carmel pipe band from Salford greater Manchester I only need to hear the drums and I know what the pipes should be playing and these are brilliant
Love the sound of this band, innovative and superb playing 1 Too bad their Drum major looks like he should be carrying a pitchfork instead of a Mace. How about a bit of flourish ? Might as well have a Potato leading the band !
I´m from germany... Need to say this Street march is so great! and of course, i love Bag pipes
Pure dead gorgeous.
No lie. No exaggeration.
Y' can make a piper cry wit' that.
Proven and done.
I listen to this music all the time, thank you for posting.
