It is true. I am just accentuating the atmosphere present in the actual song. Many people can't get through distorted guitars and growls to really see the beauty of a song... And this one is one of the most beautiful and emotional I know of.
my first comment, living in Iceland, walking when its is snowing heavily listening to this on my ipod is nothing short of majestic, this gives warmth to my heart every time I listen to this, Jari is nothing short of a musical genius, and of course the honour goes to Tillsilance for the remix good job man!
I can't tell you how much i like this. i love hearing amazing metal translated into a classical/orchestral style. awesome, fucking awesome. iPod-ing this.
haha this is perfect. my family hates when i play music like wintersun cuz they say it sounds ugly and evil. now i can play this and be all 'yeah, this is by a metal band'
WOW! that's all I can say man :) I'm a musician too! I write all the instruments for my songs, using EZdrummer for drums, and now when i found this it's the first time I've heard about Miroslav philrarmonik, and this song impressed me very much! You did a great job!!!
Have you heard Amon Amarth's "Embrace of the Endless Ocean" ? It's not as technical as Jari's stuff, but it's a great song in my opinion. It'd be great fun to learn more about music like this in school, rather than math and science, english and history, etc. I think if kids could realize that you can listen music with emotion, they'd completely forget about what's "cool" and a lot of problems would be eliminated.
I'll definitely check it out... I have yet to let amon amarth grow on me. Actually I think there is a great side to the general education that you get in school. Even if you might hate homework and exams, who knows, you might just one day discover your interest in a science like chemisty or astrology or history. I myself think of music as a side hobby, I don't expect myself becoming a professional musician. But surely when I want to get away from the world I put some moonsorrow on.
I know what you mean. But, if you listen close enough, you can hear this expertise in the original as well. A lot of people don't understand how though, it's kinda sad. :(
@iBAMi777 hey, I thought I sent you a pm with it. Anyhow the choiry background is a soundfont that i can send you if you pm me with your email, then there is harp playing some chords over it. Cold feeling comes from the notes and chords of maestro Jari.

How can people say that metal music is only making noise and screaming.. I mean this is far beyond beautiful
Such a beautiful waltz...
I heard this 8 years ago... Finally I have found it again..
dude this gives me goose bumps, i love the sound of it.
I love when the female vox and the harp come in during the bridge

I thought this was great, then I saw your comment about getting away from the world by listening to Moonsorrow. You've earned some serious kudos man.

I tried to listen to this and the original song at the same time and the results were epic! :O
I just mixed them together for my own, and sounds STUNNING, man!
Great job man, I just love this video
Thanks! I did the basic arrangement in guitar pro. After that I used a VST orchestra sample package and synth fonts in a recording software.
This is actually a greaty track to jam to O.o Thanks a lot man!

I am currently working on another song, but thanks for the idea!

Fucking beautiful, my good sir!
It's not. It is made with a recording software REAPER, analogous to cubase or pro tools, and with Miroslav Philharmonik virtual instrument.
thanks :)

@MauserKnight Have both playing at once, it's awesome.
Jari would be proud!
I dont care , in my opinion, Jari Mäenpää is the best heavy metal composer of our time
the original already sounds symphonic, so of course it's gonna sound great :D
Well goddamit guys and gals. 1000 views! Thank you all!
@Senten92 Not just planet. The greatest band in all of the universe, and especially, the sleeping stars.

HEAVY Metal??!!!
check out my version of "when time fades away" - btw great cover
No it's sadly all paid... This is a musician's curse, all gear/software is an investment. Maybe you can find some free one but I doubt it.
