Didn’t have cable TV from 2005 onwards and OTA reception for Channel 11 was always faint in all the places I lived. I didn’t know WB and UPN were gone until the Digital OTA transition in 2007. Even then my Converter Box could only get NBC, PBS, and maybe Fox. I didn’t know what that weird CW was and why my Star Trek shows were no longer on reruns anywhere. Like the next time I saw ST:TOS Remastered was in 2010.
I lived in the Hudson Valley NY so I grew up on WPIX channel 11. Mostly for _Star Trek_ reruns in the 70s, as well as _The Honeymooners_ and Yankee baseball. Also had WNEW channel 5 (before they became Fox anchor WNYW) and WWOR channel 9. Channel 9 was never as good as 11 or 5. They had the Mets and lots of Godzilla movies. By the time cable was around they eventually became UPN and ch. 11 The WB..

It started out by playing Louis Armstrong's Mack the Knife
In the east coast, they will be Mega Washington.
Does anyone have the music WPIX would use for Yankees games? My mom's been looking everywhere!
Did anybody here notice that there was an extra 11 Alive logo snuck in(from the mid 80's) in the end as all the logos are pulling out?
Ye
Wow! Y'all's did it differently than they did here. It's still cw here where I live.
UPN and The WB went dead at age 11
For reals.
Since I've realized The CW was purchased by Nexstar in 2021, that means the CBS Television Stations group will disaffiliate The CW on those stations by the beginning of Fall 2023.
CBS and Warner each kept an minority ownership of the CW but Nexstar is the majority owner. Similar between Hearst and Disney with ESPN for example with Majority Disney and minority Hearst.
@@stephenholloway6893 Yeah, perhaps.
And it happened. Under the agreement, Nexstar allowed Paramount to remove the CW affiliation on their stations, so they proceeded. Those stations are now independent.
@@Tanzim-Kazi Mm-hmm. And this leads me to one question, Where will The CW go after the CBS-owned stations in those markets ended their 17 year affiliation run with the network.
@@Kevin-xv9pm Here are the list of TV stations that get the CW affiliation:::
Sacramento: KMAX to KQCA
Bay Area: KBCW (now KPYX) to KRON (O&O)
Tampa Bay: WTOG to WTTA (O&O)
Atlanta: WUPA to WPCH
Detroit: WKBD to WADL
Philadelphia: WPSG to WPHL (O&O)
Pittsburgh: WPCW (now WPKD) to WPNT
Seattle-Tacoma: KSTW to KOMO (subchannel)
To be more specific about KOMO Seattle-Tacoma, it's DT2, so there is dual affiliation between The CW and Comet.

Warner Bros: *ARE YOU F**KING KIDDING ME*
Didn’t have cable TV from 2005 onwards and OTA reception for Channel 11 was always faint in all the places I lived.
11 The WB..
You dumbass. WWOR had all the hit shows, "TNG," "DS9," "Downey,"
"Bey," and UPN was more popular than The WB. *rolls eyes in disrespect* "The Richard Bey Show" stomped anything on channel 11 XD And I'm reviving UPN and creating WB (no "The" before "WB," no Tribune, no frog, no "dubba," "dubba," "dubba"). No one misses The WB or any Tribune crap.

Does anyone know the Freestyle Rap battle show that came on The WB before the Steve Harvey Show? Apparently, it never existed, but I remember what happens but not its name. 2 strangers rap battle off the top, and the crowd, referred to as the party people, yell for a meter, and the winner is decided based on how loud the crowd cheers for them. It was co-hosted by two black dudes. Every time they said "give it up for the party people" they would really pronounce the "p" sound and sit all over the mic 😂 I literally can't find any evidence that the show existed.
The only Hip Hop Music Reality TV Game Show i can think of that came on either WB or UPN is Dance 360 which was hosted by Fredro Starr & Kel Mitchell. But if you talkin bout around the 90's i don't know.

It's "Revolution" by The Beatles.
Here's the list of good shows better than The CW girly girly trashy shows like Gossip Girl: The Simpsons reruns, DC Comics action dramas, Whose Line Isn't Anyway and MADtv revivals, legendary spookiest show Supernatural, movies, holiday specials like Tiny Toon Night Ghouly, Merry Madagascar, animes (despite the lame 4kids dub) like Sonic X and Dragon Ball Z Kai.
Marisol Jaimes the CW makes A lot of shitty shows
Marisol Jaimes The CW airs The Simpsons? (And I for one do enjoy Supergirl. But that also airs on Show Case where I live so The CW isn't a REQUIREMENT. But Show Case is only on a free preview right now so when that's gone, I might need The CW then.)
Dixon Entertainment The Simpsons airs in syndicated reruns only, Florida Affiliate WSFL airs it since 1995 while FOX airs the new episodes every Sunday night since 1997.
The CW is full of girlies, man. I like these shows but what annoyed me they made them as some kind of fashioned-orientated shows. Blake Lively said critical about her gossip girl character and this show as well
I wish the Fox network will transform back into The WB (due to the fox shows (except the Simpsons cause there under licensed by Disney) airing on WarnerMedia networks)

Last year, the woman who was in charge of the CW was replaced by someone else, hoping to turn fortunes around for the struggling TV network. As for WPIX, their revenue comes in their subchannels, which include a latin TV station, a classic TV channel, and a tv channel showing classic movies, making the HD station unwatchable.
