One again I am amazed at your attention to detail and completeness of your servicing. I can’t help but feel for the owner of this bike regarding the kinds of issues you found and fixed. It looks like the bike had been assembled at the local bike store. Glad to see that you were able to sort it all out. Well done! Always a pleasure watching your videos.
As an aspiring bike mechanic your videos are so helpful, i had to enroll on a bike mechanic course to be a certified bike mechanic. Thank you so much for the inspiration.
Having been a motorcycle mechanic I've come across this a lot. A bike looks fantastic on the outside but when you dig deeper it' hasn't been correctly assembled or maintained
As a former bike mechanic, your skill and attention to detail are amazing. You do to bikes what every mechanic should do but never has time. I bet that will be the smoothest feeling bike on that ironman. Keep up the good work!
I wish i still lived in Woodbridge because i'd be at your place every spare minute. Your attention to detail is second to none. Thanks for sharing your video's.
This bike looks like it's from the future!! And this showed just how much skill you have. To be able to redo all the internal wiring takes a huge amount of knowledge
You can see the love and the passion the rider has for the sport. It’s easy to get used to the quirks of your bike and then the one thing that sticks out alerts you to the 10 other things that need fixing. I’m sure the customer was very pleased with the end result and will be surprised to have to adapt to a smooth working bike.
You're attention to detail always amazes me and why I look forward to your videos. Even with this bike being so well kept I think the all the things making noise like the water in the wheel and the parts that were loose would drive me crazy. Excellent job!
This was a well cleaned bike but it was built wrong. So it definitely needed rebuilding. With it now being clean and rebuilt it should stay in perfect condition! Thanks again🧡
what an interesting bike - externally immaculate, obviously someone's pride and joy. But the internals - wow. I know every bike has a story to tell, but this one's must be a belter. Great job gents, bet the owner was chuffed to bits
This was many many problems that hadn’t been properly solved that just needed to be given the proper time we gave them. Glad you enjoyed this one and thank you always for dropping us a comment 🧡
Splendid job as usual. What a nightmare of a machine to work on though! Over complication at it's best. I wonder what chance one would have (if any) of fixing anything whilst out on the road.
Lovely. The quality of the Ultegra rim brakes looks incredible. Love the little finishing touches like the cut vinyl patches! That's how I work on my own bike! Proper!
Brilliant and love al of the little things you do to the bikes that come into your shop. Care to everything and wish more bike shops were like you guys 🎉
I have a 30 or 35 bike that I use for my commute. Very easy to work on.. but constant work required.. every 500 to 1000Km something needs attention out of normal maintenance. I would rather get a modern bike with no internal gear.
Goodness me! Watching this video is incredibly therapeutic. From the bottom of my heart, I thank you for this content. If only I could get my bike worked on by your good hands.
@@the318pop I'm no tester but I thought the inner tube and clincher was an unusual combination for a TT bike. Also, if you're running tubeless why the latex inner ?
Good job, but you have missed the most problematic pivot on front Di2 derailleur. The upper pivot of the link between the servo and lower arm. This gets rusty and is the most common cause of front Di2 derailleurs.
You have made what I consider a un-rideable bike due to the rattles ect , to very very good bike and one that i would now ride, well done great work again.
We are no experts, in our experience the galvanic corrosion takes place between aluminium and steel on a bike and that’s about it. With 10 years of using copper grease on bikes it’s never corroded anything. Maybe there are better options but so far we’ve had no problems 🧡

Hey Bikespeed!! Can you maybe talk through your process/steps you follow when mounting a front derailleur(cable) in your next video. I have been battling with getting mine shifting right, and I dont understand how you seem to just screw it on and then add the cable. Seems like some kind of dark magic to me! Good video. Useful info. It was setting up gears that I struggled with when I first started servicing bikes now it’s internal cabling.
One step at a time! Internal cables used to break me into a sweat with nerves so it takes time to build confidence!🧡
Man, that headset was nasty.
I’m impressed at your patience with that!
It was a system really just designed to be ridden for a race and rebuilt. So yes pretty nasty design lol 🧡
Splendid job as usual. What a nightmare of a machine to work on though! Over complication at it's best. I wonder what chance one would have (if any) of fixing anything whilst out on the road.
Absolutely over complicated. This frame is just designed to be fast once, definitely not designed for serving🧡
Fantastic, that cabling was so complex, great service, great video.
Had us nervous but it was more the thought of it than the job, luckily it all went smoothly!🧡
Amazing Lee. Terrific attention to detail. I bet this will feel and ride like a new bike. Good luck to this rider on his Ironman.

When cowboys work on bikes it breaks your heart, good job sorting it. I'm also surprised that as a tester the bike didn't have tubulars.
Really? Most don't these days. Tubeless and latex inner tubed clinchers are generally slightly faster when comparing the same model of tyre and wheel.
