Do a video where you have teams that make different parts of an RC and you don’t know what the other team is making. Put the different parts together and see if it flies
Love this have the power up dart before i got into flitetest. Already backed the kickstarter before seeing this.... Now need to up my pledge for foam board model!
All right!!! I've been criticizing you guys lately for destructive videos, but this is a fantastic return to the constructive, creative, fun and accessible projects that I believe are what made Flight Test such a success. Thanks !
I'm going to build a bigger version of this jet with foamboard, then I'm going to transfer electronics from sport cub s, to the jet. Thank you for everything you have done to inspire me flitetest, and Josh especially, because you guys have really inspired me
You can absolutely see and even feel the passion that Josh has for this hobby that he has embraced to the point of earning a living doing it. His enthusiasm is so incredibly contagious and infectious that long time subscribers have been able to watch it transform Stefan from some guy who came to work at Flitetest, to an accomplished pilot and fabricator of rc airplanes in his own right. I love it. Keep up the great work and great vids, (which is still like to see more than once a week!). I’m off to Kickstarter to grab one of the 4.0 kits now.
Raycefan this means the world to us my friend! Your to kind and thanks so much for checking out the Kickstarter and for supporting Flite Test for all these years!!
FliteTest hey, I’m just thrilled to pieces you saw and acknowledged my comment! LOL one of these days this crazy Alaskan resident is gonna get to Ohio and meet y’all
Just consistently well done content, simple! To the entire flight test team, you folks are doing an amazing job, your approach to the hobby, to the inclusive nature of your content it simply wonderful. One day I’ll get into RC flight, I have wanted to since I was a kid and I’m pushing 60. Once I can’t cycle tour I’ll be using flight test product to get me into the hobby. Thank you for the hours of entertainment, sincerely appreciated.
As an airframe and powerplant technician I totally belive in the priciple of TLAR. That Looks About Right. If it looks good it will fly good. That plane from the beginning looked good.
Only way to make a better quinjet better is increase it's power to weight ratio, because that design is as aerodynamically stable as a rock. I agree it looks cool though 😌
I've been enjoying your recent videos but I would love to see more of your older content more like this video. Also, reviews, flying, and just having fun. That would be awesome, love you guys!
Awesome video! Good work guys. One problem though, the audio mixing was really irritating.. music was mixed way too loud. Couldn’t hear what Josh and Stephan were saying over the obnoxiously loud guitar solo ...
I like your videos that tell the story of trying to meet a design objective with simple materials. I would like to see a video where you choose an older design such as the FT Simple Soarer and update it's performance, drawing on advancements in build techniques to push the envelope of foam board airplane performance. Joshua Finn is starting to go that route with his hotliners and chuck gliders. I would love to see you guys start up a series that really advances the art of foam board performance aviation.
nice! i was just thinking about small rc planes but you guys should make a indoor one i have always had a dream of flying a micro plane in my house while its raining and such. thanks guys keep up the good work!
The 4.0 looks SOOOOO MUCH more developed than the 3.0. My grandmother got me the 3.0 for Christmas and the entire thing was really buggy the app kept disconnecting mid flight and wouldn’t respond well.
Try adding a KF step on the leading edge so it's not relying solely on high AoA to generate lift? Speed may go up, but efficiency / batt life should increase as it's not expending so much power downwards to maintain height once it's got itself into that high AoA state. Years ago I made a RC Powers 4ft long depron F22; that KF step really makes a difference to the lift generated; if you wanted to go high AoA anyway, you could get it almost down to walking speed, but at cruise speed it was essentially level as the KF step generated enough lift to require zero AoA.
I would love to see y’all make a rc Independence Day alien fighter into a plane or a quad! One of the two either way with you guys doing it it’ll be awesome!!!
I respect what y’all doing 👍🏼 I’d love to get my grandsons interested in aeronautics!!! Instead of sports like basketball, that only has a timespan. They love sports don’t get me wrong, but this awesome 👍🏼👍🏼
I have 1 question I would like to see you guys buy the bangood the L-19 Cessna 460mm wingspan and make it like a free flight becuase I'm trying to and I can't seem to get it to stay in the air long like maybe 8 feet then it falls
Design your own Warbirds from scratch and have a team dog fight... last bird standing wins. Based on what we know about warbirds, what designs would you mesh to make one Warbird the best... would love to see you guys do that
I am new to RC flight and I really want one what time will it be released for purchase. Also, can you do a comparison video between this and the duet? Thank You!!!

This Is a great idea! Shenanigan potential Is off the charts😯
I would love to see this @Flite Test

Agreed this is an awesome idea
Or not
Love this have the power up dart before i got into flitetest. Already backed the kickstarter before seeing this.... Now need to up my pledge for foam board model!
So happy you guys are part of this! Found out after I already pledged for the pro kit. Winning!!!!

Brilliant! I'm waiting for my 4.0 as we speak, already destroyed/lost a few Powerups 2.0, this one looks awesome! GG, friends!

Very cool and will be accessible to young and old alike. I dig it
8:39 the king of random hat
DJ Barrett I thought I was hallucinating

AWESOME! Please do a Helicarrier 2.0, maybe even collab with Peter Stripol and hopefully you guys could make a better flying version of the quinjet!
Only way to make a better quinjet better is increase it's power to weight ratio, because that design is as aerodynamically stable as a rock.

I agree
I loved this video. Proper build with a proper goal. And it was educational. Discussing cg, thrust angles, weight etc.
Awesome video! Good work guys. One problem though, the audio mixing was really irritating.. music was mixed way too loud. Couldn’t hear what Josh and Stephan were saying over the obnoxiously loud guitar solo ...
Absolutely outstanding video. I think I'll support this project. Thanks for sharing 👍👍👍
Sweet!
AND...THAT...SHIRT!
Josh, PLEASE bring us the THIN foamboard! The possibilities!
Loved Stephan's TKOR hat
I’m a simple man. I see Bixler holding a fighter, I click!
Awesome collaboration! Sooo...that sweet shirt that Stefan is sporting is the coolest shirt you guys have done. When can we all get one?
Absolutely ingenious. Hope the project goes well and finds it’s way to the UK!
I have had hours of entertainment watching your videos. I have immensely enjoyed watching you guys having so much fun!
Another excellent job from Flitetest !!!
The shirt Stephen is wearing is awesome👍😄

I’m so happy I got my hands on one of these kits
Aye hope your having a good day I am because of watching this
nice! i was just thinking about small rc planes but you guys should make a indoor one i have always had a dream of flying a micro plane in my house while its raining and such. thanks guys keep up the good work!
This looks super cool, amazing how far technology has come!!
Is that a DLG for the PowerUp 4.0?
So cool!!
The 4.0 looks SOOOOO MUCH more developed than the 3.0. My grandmother got me the 3.0 for Christmas and the entire thing was really buggy the app kept disconnecting mid flight and wouldn’t respond well.
DanielWayne 4.0 is bomb!!! Ha best yet!
Old school Flite Test. Thank you, Josh.

Awesome job like always guys!!
That move the F22 does is called the Cobra Head or High Alpha Pass Maneuver
Fantastic work!
Cool. Now make an A-10 for this.
Love you guys is amazing .. woahhhhh now I can be the pilot I always dreamed to be. Thank you team.
That is a great result you guys did a fabulous job. Tell Stefan I said hi
Silas Marner hey Silas! -stefan ;)
Awesome stuff guys as usual!! Also I LOVE that shirt Stefan is wearing!!!!!
So do i
Wow! Well done guys!
Awesome project
I would love to see y’all make a rc Independence Day alien fighter into a plane or a quad! One of the two either way with you guys doing it it’ll be awesome!!!
Can you give a template for the glider for a4 printers multiple pages please
Flite Test
2019: *Flying Toilet*
2020: *Makes An Airplane*
2039: *Flying Human*
3939: *Flying Moon*
bold of you to assume that the moon will exist in 3939
@@harryharding3473 it'll be a memorial flying moon.
Flying Turd?
flying human was 3 jun. 2017
Anonymous, that was the toilet
I respect what y’all doing 👍🏼 I’d love to get my grandsons interested in aeronautics!!! Instead of sports like basketball, that only has a timespan. They love sports don’t get me wrong, but this awesome 👍🏼👍🏼
That's awesome. Hopefully this will get kids involved in RC. Love you guys 😀💝
Love these guys, they make me happy.
Can someone make a PDF with 1:1 scale outlines of that thing?
What about splicing in a mini solar panel to augment the battery? Something off of one of those solar walkway lights.
You'd still probably burn up your battery power before the solar panel could charge it up
Pitching down while adding power? You'll have to wait for the 737MAX fix! Stephan's hockey jersey needs to be in the store.
I did not think the F22 would make a stable glider, but it totally did.
Totally Awesome
Loved it!
Ok when can we buy the jersey that Stephan is sporting? I would order one in a heartbeat!
Agreed, I want to buy the jersey Stephan is wearing. When will it be available on the store?
Can you guys coat a couple of your planes in line x and do crazy tricks and durability tests?
This is what Flitetest is all about!
I love the stuff that your doing please keep doing it!
Way cool! As always, thanks for sharing.
Steve
It would be sweet if you guys made a foam board X-wing
They already have.
ruclips.net/video/U2jkMbOMlEA/видео.html
Oh dang, I love those shirts and all of the aircraft you have there! Too much Fun! Hiring soon? ;)
Hey, I was watching a SPACEBALLS Eagle 5 model kit build- up tutorial and thought it would be great if the crew at Flite test made a flying version.
You need to make a shopping cart fly!!!!!!!
That's fun idea, Logan.
Pretty awesome.
What laser cutter you suggest ?
Man wish you guys would do an enterprise model. Would be awesome to see.
I am 100% behind this idea!
But which Enterprise?
hanelyp1 would love to see D, though I think the nacelles would be a huge challenge. If not A or B would also be awesome.
Love this channel so much!
You guys should make an R/C Lego aircraft.
While I'm at it, I would also like to see you guys build a Messerschmidt Bf-109 for your DYI R/C aircraft warbird collection
I fricken love this channel. my son and I watch it every Saturday morning.
Makes me happy seeing small scale affordable stuff again. That's the reason I even started watching flite test so many years ago.
i needed this video. Thanks!
I hope the shirt that Stefan is wearing will be on the store
I want one now....
But I also want a design that can be super slow....
Edit: Backed, I'll do it myself. lol
Have you tried fitting an airplane around a quadcopter to make a VTOL. A delta shape works well.
Thanks for a informative video of a simple great project . Josh & the crew ! Love you guys . 2019 was my first FF it was like visiting a dream !
Do you have a p38 lighting kit?
Heyheyhey waitaminute are these the chuck gliders you could only buy 50pcs at once? I really wanted the plan for that Eurofighter
I have 1 question I would like to see you guys buy the bangood the L-19 Cessna 460mm wingspan and make it like a free flight becuase I'm trying to and I can't seem to get it to stay in the air long like maybe 8 feet then it falls
You guys have me just a little bit freaking out... I can't wait to get my Powerup 4.0... I already sponsored them!!!
except I REALLY want to use it on those balsa gliders and rubber band powered planes I used to play with when I was a kid!
Nice project that will get a lot of kids involved ;-) See you in the Air!
5:24 taking playing with your food to new heights
Are those Chuck gliders in the store
Have you ever made an original Wright Brothers Flier ?
You saying "principles of flight" gave me flashbacks to groundschool, as that is one of the subjects there 😅
Would this work with the ez rc pack you guys sell?
Can't spare the scratch to back the KS now, but you can bet I'm looking forward to it coming to retail!
Why don’t you have the body go through the spine with a slight curve to give it some lift?
What kind of battery powers the module?
Hey we love your work. We want to see you build the plane from the movie chicken run.
Helicarrier-based-mothership with a squadron of these on-board?
This is an awesome looking product. Looks like it’s so much fun
Design your own Warbirds from scratch and have a team dog fight... last bird standing wins. Based on what we know about warbirds, what designs would you mesh to make one Warbird the best... would love to see you guys do that
you guys should put this on paper aeroplanes and make it a challenge for longest flight time
Nice work!
i feel like the motors on bottom wouldn’t be good in a crash because it might damage the props but idk i’m not good with this stuff
When do their videos come out, I thought it was 4 days a week?
I am new to RC flight and I really want one what time will it be released for purchase. Also, can you do a comparison video between this and the duet? Thank You!!!
Could you make the Prydwen from Fallout 4?
