I love this eyeshadow technique! You can certainly get a lot of bang for a buck. They even have q-tips that have one pointy end which will deliver even more precision. Great ideas Cher!!!
Wow,I was wondering what eye shadow would look like on a coloring book, thanks so much for this, looks like distress ink, which I can't afford, lol thank you
What a terrific idea! Backgrounds can be so difficult. You have made it easy peasy! Now I know what to do with all my eye make up that is old and out dated!
Yes, it is a great way to re-purpose old make up. you might be interested in seeing the full background tutorial with tips on sealing and applicators. ruclips.net/video/Z2JcWepKxeM/видео.html
HI Grace! It's been a long while since I created any new content for the channel, but I'm happy to see people like yourself are still learning and creating! Happy coloring! Thank you for stopping by and dropping me a note!
I use the Oval makeup brushes. They are using them with Pastel chalk and Distress inks. The brushes are made to give a very smooth finish. I use them on portraits.. . Check them out. Dollar Tree is now carrying them.
Hi I want to know if the eye shadow smudges on everything once its applied. For example will it smudge on the receiver of a card? And do you use fixatives to hold the powder in place once applied. Thank you.
HI erandi, yes, anything with powders can rub off. Use fixative. (don't use hair spray) You can check out more information about this in the full background video ruclips.net/video/Z2JcWepKxeM/видео.html....I talk about fixatives at minute 23
+CherTheFire Just tried them out. Got a fairies coloring book and used them for the wings and skin color. Came out really nice. Need to get some "fixative" to use though
+Renee Lanier HI Renee....With any of the powders (pastel, chalk, eye shadow, etc) you will need to seal them so they don't smear, rub off nor rub onto other papers.
+Renee Lanier I show the can of the fixative I use in two of my videos... I use Gumbracher Final Fixative. I also mention in the videos that there is a "Workable" fixative which allows a person to continue to work on the paper, where as a final fix is just that, a final step, as in all done kind of fix. Hope that helps!

You can cut cosmetic sponges. Great job here wow!
great job with this video with eyeshadow nice work
Thanks!
Hi, I love your videos - they’re very helpful. The only thing I might say is that the background music is a bit distracting. Otherwise great 👍😃
Wow!! Who knew? I have lots of shadows I don't use. Good use of something that might have gone into the trash!
Yep - time to go play with some color!!
Q tips leave a grainy effect. Applicator that comes with the eyeshadow looks much better.
yes, they do leave different results on the page! good observations.

+zekehooper that's great!!!
Would you need a fixative when using eyeshadow & could I use hairspray ? TY
+DLR310 With any of the powders (pastel, chalk, eye shadow, etc) you will need to seal them so they don't smear, rub off nor rub onto other papers.
can you use straight mica powder? or loose mineral pigments?
oooo- try it!! That would be an interesting idea! I can't see why not! Report back, let me know how your results turned out!
I second what you said about using a brush. Super messy and not for me
Yep!
Did you seal the makeup on your page?
+Renee Lanier HI Renee....With any of the powders (pastel, chalk, eye shadow, etc) you will need to seal them so they don't smear, rub off nor rub onto other papers.
Ok. What do you use?

Great video but the music is unnecessary! Very distracting 😢
