    I don't like people. They always judge. Even after all the medication and therapy, I still want to be alone.

    Working out has helped me in improve. ( I do resistance training/ Boxing )
    I haven't ate very well during the workouts tbh, but I am now looking to take it seriously & will continue to workout.
    I am not promising that it will completely solve all our issues bcuz I am still struggling but there's something there.
    Idk how to explain it but there were days where I felt ALIVE AGAIN!
    Due to the concussion life has turned into a full blown fight for my life, it's true I may still loose.. but I am not going down until GOD throws in the towel.
    Don't stop believing!

      @@JuanCarlos-np7vo nvm me then. i was gonna say thats the dumbest thing ive ever heard but training makes sense. i definitely understand frustration with medical "professionals" when it comes to this stuff. its only been just over 2 weeks since i sustained 2 concussions in a short span of time. I still have barely any of my memories back. I don't know anything about any of my coworkers anymore, for example. the first concussion was on an ebike where I crashed and didn't even hit my head directly or get knocked out. the only memory i have of the accident is my vision going almost completely black and my phone screen sparkling brilliantly when i pulled out my phone right after I crashed to call for help and thinking "oh my god something really bad has happened" and then the next week is practically gone. the second concussion happened at some point when in the hospital after the first one because the er people left me alone while i was still severely concussed and assumed i was on drugs. I was slurring my words and stumbling and throwing up and talking a lot of nonsense so they completely ignored me when I told them I thought I was badly concussed. i only know any of this happened because my mom was there and she said i told them i thought i had a concussion and that i was frustrated they were not listening to me. they gave me narcan called it a day and left me alone in a room and i then somehow fell and knocked myself out. because i have no memories of that time and was alone i have no way of knowing how bad the second one was, what happened, how long I was out for, or anything of value for diagnosis. the hospital was criminally negligent.
      my neurologist does not seem concerned that i have not regained most of my memories or that I am having trouble functioning. i have a 3-4 day window where i can remember any details at all and it is a huge struggle at that. if you ask me to distinguish between any of those days I simply can't. yesterday and 3 days ago feels like the same day. my short term memory and attention span are nearly nonexistant. if I'm doing something and someone starts talking to me, if I'm in a bad moment, I will literally be unable to even notice or process that I am being spoken to until after I'm done with whatever I'm focused on. won't even hear the noise. I had ADHD before but now it's on steroids.
      i fear i am experiencing seizures in my temporal lobe (it would explain all of my symptoms at the very least, especially with the crazy deja vu i get constantly) and he says the EEG would have shown that. the EEG would only have shown if I had a seizure during that time.The EEG people told me this, so either my neurologist or the EEG people are telling me lies. I understand the seuzures are unlikely and that I'm still in the time window for post concussion syndrome to be a potential cause, but what is the harm in checking? I don't understand the eagerness to dismiss problems by medical people after having concussions. if i wasn't having problems then i would be able to return to my life and not be frustrated like I am with my thinking.

      @@EveryLittleBitCounts I wish you the best bro, hope you can recover from this soon.
      Everything you said is exactly right, I am going through the same thing, battling the same symptoms, memory loss/ lack of attention span HUGE mood swings, same dismissal from doctors (they almost make me feel like i am lying ) & its been almost two years for me ( this August ).
      I just want to get better and i know you do too but don't give up keep looking for help but also try working out even if its not boxing training as long as you get your heart pumping and sweat it will make a difference. I can't promise it will solve everything but it does help with more than just stress relief. Idk how to describe it but boxing workouts has helped me and I've noticed the difference.
      Doctors always told me to just rest & sleep alot but working out has really paid off, its the closest I've felt to being normal again.

    i remember in elementary school, in swananoa north carolina, teacher was pushing a desk, it flipped me over, smashed my head, so i started passing out, puking all over the place, horrible pain in my head, so the teacher got a couple of other children to help drag me outside to lay on the bench to wait on the bus, i had massive headaches on and off for over 10 years, still remember the greasy lawyer making threats to prevent my mom from suing them

    I believe that my daughter suffered a brain injury at age 7 from a bike wreck her head hit the sidewalk and she jumped up and ran I had to chase and catch her. The closest hospital to us was also probably the worse hospital in the state of Kentucky or at least in the top ten hospitals in the habit of hiring doctors that are known to be lazy enough to leave gauze and tools inside patients! No double checking?! My exhusbands bestfriend from schools wife is the woman who got the stuff left inside her after a c-section. She almost died leaving a 3 year old and new born with a 20 something new dad. They blamed her that she didn’t keep herself clean and had infections. Anyway my little girl was never quite the same after her concussion the doctors acted like I was overreacting and wasting their time. I think they gave her some cheap fever reducer I could’ve got at the dollar store and a cold rag and sent us home. I know now it was because she had passport insurance from the government by then because I remember whenever my husband had insurance from his work our second child was a premature baby and the staff waited both myself and her dad like their job depended on it if we didn’t know everything about premature babies like a doctor did! But yea I believe my girl suffered that day and that hospital is the reason why she was kept from receiving extra help. She had awful headaches after that but everything just got blamed on her adhd or her meds or missing doses. She changed a lot and had more difficulty.

    Thanks for sharing! Have you found that CFX or other brain injury therapy has helped these mental illnesses improve by itself?

    • @inthepursuit
      @inthepursuit 3 года назад +8

      Josh, I'm not a medical or health expert by any means, but I have started my healing journey with Cognitive FX. One of the things that I found to help me with depression and social anxiety as a result of my injury, is an anti-inflammatory focus diet. Treat the brain as you would with a broken bone or twisted ankle as if it's swollen from the injury. For me, when I focused on bringing down my inflammation through diet and exercise, I found my mood improved immensely and I am able to handle stress better.

    • @nathanbenson7563
      @nathanbenson7563 3 года назад +7

      Josh, from my own experience being a patient at CFX, I'd say it's a mixed bag. For me, some things did improve from brain injury therapy. However, there were things that I needed to see a clinical psychologist for despite the brain injury symptoms resolving. So, yes they do help, but some may need the extra intervention to resolve all aspects of the body, mind, and even soul.

I’ve only had 2 concussions my hole life with years apart from one another and I’ve noticed I get the symptoms agin when I’m under stress. I think it’s coming from my neck. I’m good tho 😆.
