OMG JUST GENIUS WAY OF EXPLAINING. all photographers know this but you way of explaining is just GENIUS, are you a teacher :). please do more videos like this with iphone and with no face.like cooking etc for no face vlogs. THANKS
4th SHOT: an abstract / texture Good for placing titles. Usually a macro, or a detail shot. In your example, it could capture just the texture of grass, or the water.
Just a suggestion for continuity: If, during a wide shot, your actor exits the frame, say, to the right, and your following shot is another wide angle, keep them heading to the right. I suggest this because one wide angle you exited to the right. Then the next wide angle, you're crossing the bridge to the left. On another note, I loved your color grade.
this video is perfect timing! im getting back into filming and need to get better at planning my shots. the way you broke it down makes a lot more sense for me. thanks :))
Hey, Alvin! Just want to say that I'm starting my RUclips journey and I've found your content to be so helpful and valuable for a beginner RUclipsr like me. Keep up the great work and can't wait to see your channel grow bigger as well because you deserve it!!
I really like how you presented your idea, and I think the “loop” and addition of a 4th shot separate from the Wide > Medium > Close up is a really good idea. I personally have found that being conscious about the items you’re carrying in a scene can also provide a nice storyline to a sequence. Like in the shots you showed, maybe I would’ve tried to include more emphasis on that red water bottle, especially since it had a nice color contrast. (Not saying this would make anything better, just something that I’ve been thinking about lately) Just a thought though! Can’t wait to see more from you 😎
Nice video, at 3:04 for the closeup shot of the shoes, do you know about what focal length/aperture you were at there? Thanks so much for this great tutorial.
