When I was a teenager (back in the 90s) all I wanted was to be a filmmaker. This continued until the early 2000s (before RUclips) and I had various cheap cameras, some of which were so big they mounted on my shoulder. But it never left. I want to make cinematic vlogs, not because I am extra important or think my life is interesting, but I just enjoy looking at life through that cinematic lens. It's not real, it's dream-like. But it's wonderful.

I have a s23 Ultra phone, and I intend to buy some lens to work with it and to improve my skills. I'm passionate about cinema since I was a child. I studied acting in college, but now I struggle to get hired in a production. It's a crazy business, and I felt like I'm nobody so many times, even with my wild big dreams reflecting the shots from the movies I've watched. Your video gives me strengh, Dylan, to frame myself and show all this feelings to the world insted of waiting for them to see me.

learning 3d engines are an excellent way to practice it. as you try a lot of shots quicker than in real life. only downside is, it takes time to create and animate the models. but honestly if you're just practicing then it doesn't matter how detailed your scenes are, which increases the learning speed as well. personally i use blender and maya but i recommend blender for beginners. GOOD LUCK

It significantly enhances the storytelling, elevating the overall experience by a factor of 10. Unlike many vlog-style videos on RUclips that tend to excessively rely on music to convey sophistication in their storytelling, your approach strikes a perfect balance.

Nice channel. I'm working on my first movie, I don't struggle with ideas but mostly with the characters design and backstory. I feel theses days most movie and tv show are going too quick on creating characters, which to my opinion makes 2D flat characters that we get bored of. Keep going what you do it's important, few peoples have the time to pratice and dedicated their time and talent to cinematography.

Although breadth of skills improves with age, real creativity tends to slide once beyond your twenties. Older guys call back on things they've seen before, things they've had success with in the past. Experience gives you efficiency to pull something off, but it takes work to keep trying to expand the box.

Another great source of inspiration and where you learn basics are paintings. Like classic paintings, Rembrandt, Vermeer, Ajwasowski etc. at my first year as cinematography student our teacher made us go to painting gallery every weekend and study classical paintings. He said that everything photographer needs like composition, lightning, colors can be found in works of greatest painters. Also it develops your taste in visual arts. And as I said composition, light, color was mastered by painters long ago before camera was invented, so you can learn a lot from them.
