how lucky are we as filmmakers to be in this age of pushing and inspiring each other to keep creating even in the smallest nooks in our rooms, thank you so much Dylan i hope you continue this series.
As someone just getting into cinematography in my mid-30’s, it’s never too late, especially when there’s people like yourself who put in the time to help us all get better! Thank you 🙏🏽
I'm getting so inspired by all these gorgeous cinematic RUclips vlogs, but I spent the evening the other night talking with my husband about how my life will never look as good as Riza's. So I really appreciate the pep talk and all the practical advice. Cheers!
You are amazing. I truly appreciate people like you, who unselfishly share there knowledge and help others to find that something that's missing. Thank you and i wish you all the best! 💖
I remember watching ‘No Country for Old Men’. That coin flip scene was my moment of thinking I wanna do something… that defines me. It took me so long to take the first step finally this year. Gonna start a new YT channel once I make something cool. Reimagine.
Man this is the second I watch and you're AMAZING !!! WOW !!!the production value of your videos is insane, thank you very much for sharing your knowledge with us, new subscriber here.
No one's "too ugly" to film! I don't have the face of an actor but I still try to at least practice my skills. It's more about learning what you can achieve so when you get the opportunity to work with other people you have that experience already!
@@ZvilgantisKailisjust pray about it and read His word. Also, try talking about it to someone maybe older and intelligent. If His will aligns with yours, I think you should go for it. Just don't degrade yourself and let a stumbling block or imperfections define you. No one is ever perfect.
How did you make the shot when you are lying down and the camera is above you and moving? 😊How can you position the camera above you like this (can’t be just the super high tripod?) but what about this movement? Looks fantastic!
@@Mountain_Spirit I used a C-Stand to get my camera high up and shot on a wide angle lens. It was a static shot and in the editing I created the movement by zooming in and rotating the footage so no black edges appeared!
How you do the spinning shot over head??? How the fuck did you shoot that yourself? & dude…I’ve got a Komodo, trying to shoot myself of Komodo is brutal
@@DylanBatista OH! So no movement at all? & you cropped in to hide it? If you don’t mind me asking, what was the focal length on the shot? I suppose you may have given me a legitimate idea now! The 6k may actually be able to shine for once!
Hi Dylan, after watching the first few minutes of your video I abandoned the screen because I suddenly felt inspired to make a video. So far, I had only made small travel vlogs that worked more as a sort of montage with music. Neat, of course, but it gets old very fast. I had also seen the Netflix show Ripley recently and I was fascinated by the masterfully crafted, creative shots in pretty much every second of the show. I wanted to try to recreate that playful style, much like you intend to do with the frame gallery on your phone. Here’s the result: ruclips.net/video/SWOHR_904SI/видео.htmlsi=BmfUFAmr2q4bORYn I learnt how hard it is to actually find a good frame for a still shot, that positioning plays a role etc…but I think I’ve learned a lot through making this. It was my first kinda narrative content and I’ve had loads of fun making it - getting into a flow state for three hours. It was your video that inspired me to start doing this - thank you! 🙏

Nice tips. I am just too ugly to film myself and it is hard to find anyone who wants to be just a face in the frame :D

Just have a cinematic perspective and do some sort of clean editing and you are good to go
