    What do you think in future the demand of Medical Laboratory scientists can restrict because of new technologies that can replace us ?

    • @RosaPerez
      @RosaPerez  4 года назад +8

      I believe there will still be a need as there are always issues with technology. It requires a live person to fix an issue or resolve a discrepancy. I don’t believe technology will replace a live person in our lifetime but it’s possible that in the distant future technology will take over every aspect of our lives and jobs.

    • @aelo18
      @aelo18 3 года назад +4

      It happens is every field, not just with this career. For example, a lot of medical assistants have to use technology, they used to do it hands on, now they have to use technology but they are still needed in the field. A lot of stores have individual checkout registers so costumers can do it themselves but they still need cashiers. Workers are going to be needed regardless of the technology situation going on. Workers will be needed no matter what, so don’t worry!

    Is there any things on RUclips to practice the epic system. If you know Epic is the system used by some hospitals to keep patients records. I don't know if you use the same in your job.

    • @RosaPerez
      @RosaPerez  16 дней назад

      This was a great question. I did see there are a few videos regarding epic, but I’m not sure how in-depth they go into learning the system. You are correct of the majority of hospitals are starting to use epic and it’s becoming more widespread throughout hospital systems. I have used epic in the past. I believe it is pretty user-friendly and very easy to navigate. I didn’t get too much training on it, but I feel like it was pretty self-explanatory, will you be using it for job?

      Experience really matters for employers to hire employees. The hospital where I did my rotation gave me a job offer, but I wasn't ready to start working straight after graduation and I denied it. I think most people do their internships in the hospital where they want to work and they get hired easily. Now I find a job in another state and I have to move next week.
