  • Deano's Diary: The Big Bream Bash! 💪🏼🐟
    We filmed this special number last year when we realised Dean Macey and Gary Newman were sneaking off hunting some monster bream! 🎥📺
    It was an absoluteley crazy session, with a LOT of action...but would they hit their target double figure fish at the day ticket venue that is Walthamstow Reservoirs? 🤷🏻‍♂️
    Join the guys for two days on the bank in the latest instalment, where they have plenty of fun and uncover their tactics, tackle, rigs, feeding edges and more for monster bream! 😎🎣

    This is the opposite. Usually it’s carp anglers catching bream 🤣

    Basia reels and those sorts of rods are ridiculous for bream

    • @hikinguphigh
      @hikinguphigh 5 лет назад +1

      ha5enk 55 and the rigs tbh only need a method feeder and a hook

    • @jamietaylor407
      @jamietaylor407 5 лет назад +1

      ha5enk 55 not at all. When bream get to that size in a lake, chances are the carp get even bigger. Would you fancy your chances of pulling out a 40lb carp on light ‘breaming’ tackle?

    • @hikinguphigh
      @hikinguphigh 5 лет назад +1

      @@jamietaylor407 I get what your saying. But I would have the heavy stuff out for the big carp, and fish for bream on light tackle with other rod/rods to make it more enjoyable.

    • @jamietaylor407
      @jamietaylor407 5 лет назад +2

      hikinguphigh problem with that is, carp won’t differentiate between your bream line and carp line. In fact a carp would be much more likely to pick up bait on light lines as they would feel more confident feeding over less visible set ups. So you would more than likely spend most of the session setting up again on your light rig after getting smashed up with big carp

      @@jamietaylor407 it's a difficult one really. Guess it depends on the water. I normally have 2 carp rods out and then play with the feeder or float. I only very rarely, ( probably about 5 times in over 10 years of fishing) had a carp try to take my small hooks and bait. But caught plenty of bream on the carp rods 😂

    Ffs dean you look a right mong when you pose with the fish. Catching thick carp is not hard when you fish in lakes full of thick carp that have been caught all their life
