    There is absolutely no reason to declarer him as a hostile witness as she is cross examining him.

    The biggest mistake of Netflix. They should have contained ‘Lie to Me’ instead of numerous pointless series such as ‘Russian Doll’, ‘Hakan:Muhafiz’ etc.

      The biggest mistake of Netflix was endorsing pedophilia by doubling down on cuties. Anyone who owns a Netflix account is a pedo by association.

    Outstanding. I really love the part where the video is corrupted. Great job on not fixing that. This is the kind of quality we all strive for.

    Wait, how could a judge let one of the witnesses be the ex-husband of the defendant's lawyer. I don't think that's allowed.

    1:57 - Only the person who called the witness and, therefore, questions them first ever has to ask for permission to treat a witness as hostile. If it's a witness called by the other side and you're asking your questions second, then they're already presumed to be hostile to your case.
    Asking for permission to treat the witness as hostile is just asking for the same rules as for cross-examination, which are more lax, then for the stricter rules for initial examination of your own witness, which are more strict. Since she's clearly asking her questions second, she's already cross-examining the witness and doesn't need to get special permission to treat her questions as a cross examination.

    The 'defendant', played by Melissa George is an Australian soapie actress. Viewing some of her past performances, she presents as an attractive, slim blonde with perennially pouty lips. Her acting enables her to run the whole gamut of emotions, from A to B.

      Half to do with writing, half to do with audience. The later episodes in the audiences' view didn't contain enough clips of them catching people in lies (and the science behind it) and went towards only drama. The popularity of it slumped so they cancelled.

    2:13 there has to be a law here that says a ex wife and e husband in court together on the opposite side of trial is a conflict of interest.

    The only thing I didnt like about this show is that it never tied together loose threads(?). Like it often happened something that we never found out how it did go

    • @alltimefalloutatthechemica2106
      @alltimefalloutatthechemica2106 5 лет назад

      Sebastian Marinus Johansen yeah of course I know that thats how it is, I meant that it was a lot of things that happened to the main characters that they just left and never continued on. Like I dont really remember but for example a kinda big character got shot and was in the hospital and we didnt know if he was gonna make it or not and that was in like s1 and we never got to know if he survived or not. A lot of stuff like that happened. Yeah I also think its sad that it ended and I wouldve liked a few more seasons and to know if Cal and Gillian were ever going to end up together

    • @alltimefalloutatthechemica2106
      @alltimefalloutatthechemica2106 5 лет назад +2

      Sebastian Marinus Johansen yeah but I still want the same actors, especially Tim Roth, hes one of my favourite actors and he really fits the role. 5th time damn, Im not really into rewatching stuff, maybe single eps but not whole series or seasons. My mom and I watched it together and we both loved it and even tho it was a while ago that we watched it we still randomly bring up that we miss it and want to watch more of it

    • @alltimefalloutatthechemica2106
      @alltimefalloutatthechemica2106 5 лет назад

      Sebastian Marinus Johansen thats true, hmm maybe I will! I recently rewatched the ep in which Cal is in the mental institution and is hallucinating. Its probably one of my favourite episodes

    • @alltimefalloutatthechemica2106
      @alltimefalloutatthechemica2106 5 лет назад

      Sebastian Marinus Johansen yeah but then it turns out to be the sister. Its a cool episode and it deals with mental health and shows us things about Cal’s past

    This actor couldn’t stay clean off drugs for anything. He’s actually clearly wasted now. Sad, he was so good in the first season.
