Supes is such a boy scout. Not wanting innocent bystanders to get hurt.
He's consciously spent every moment of his entire life holding back 99.99%. A few words won't automatically remove literally years of conditioning. Near-death desperation did, which happens with normal humans all the time.

As sad as it is, losing a few hundred people is better than losing billions if you put it into perspective. War is war, you simply can't save everyone, people are going to die. Superman thinks that if he tries hard enough, everything will go without a hitch and nobody including his adversaries will have to perish. His ideals in a way are bringing more pain and suffering to the world than good.

I've really never understood why Diana doesn't start with lassoing people and asking, "what is the best way to defeat you?"
I mean, you can clearly see her Lasso is her last Option to use if Things are getting rough. For example this. If she can Take her opponents out with an ease then why does she need to ask them how to kill you? When she can just kill them barehands.

It's scary when you realize the justice league had an easier time fighting Darkseid and his whole army than Doomsday. Plus there were more members in the league when they fought Doomsday

Darkseid actually meet with Doomsday in the past and saw it fight. Darkseid decided to run away. As well when Darkseid fought Doomsday not even his eye laser were able to do anything to him. It got so bad they send for help from Earth and superman came and helplessly got beat up again. Even superman knew Doomsday was out of his league.
Michael Rosell doomsday is just the destroyer. Thats the thing, he has no alliegances. He is just no fucks given.

Love the artstyle too. I love the costumes, it's the first time Wonder Woman doesn't get a ridiculous one. This one is way better. Same can be said about Superman. Also the faces and bodies, the eyes, look at Diana when her hair falls free. It's the first time I like so much an animation movie about superheroes.

Wonder Woman, Superman, and John could have defeated Doomsday between the three of them, but Clark's lunch date with Lois just couldn't wait.

Are you kidding? There's literally only one match for doomsday, and that is Superman. No one, alone or combined, stands a realistic chance at defeating doomsday. MM and WM cloud have given a tough fight that could have lasted pretty long. They just wouldn't have been able to beat him
@@saipawankumar5297 I think that's massively underselling MM (on paper, he should be more powerful than Superman, if not for his weakness to fire). Regardless, if they had GL, MM, and WW temporarily restrain Doomsday while Aquaman jabbed him with his magic trident (which in this continuity, could have killed Superman), they wouldn't have needed Superman to show up.
@@HyraxusPrimus yes, I think the scenario you mentioned is quite possible. GL and aquaman might change the equation. But I'm still not entirely convinced though. I mean we just saw Doomsday destroy wonder woman's God killing sword in a single punch. Would Aquaman's trident be able to kill Doomsay for good? We know Doomsday develops immunity against things that don't kill him.
But that's just my 2 cents on it. My opinion could be biased coz I'm a huge Superman fan
@@saipawankumar5297 My logic is that Ocean Master absolutely destroyed the Justice League (including Superman) with it (and yes, it might've been contrived to make Aquaman look good, but it still happened), so if it can pierce Superman and electrocute Wonder Woman, it should be able to pierce Doomsday and do some kind of damage. Maybe if Shazam had been around to give it a supercharge, as well.
That's the problem with Doomsday. In the comics, you could get away with Superman being the only who could beat him, because the JLA at the time were a bunch of lame D-listers. Here, it's all the A-listers, some of whom can sometimes measure up to Superman himself (and they have to, otherwise there'd be no point of Superman being on a team with them in the first place).
Hey, I love Superman too, I just like to see some of the other heavy hitters get a chance to shine once in a while.

“Don’t hold back” and I’m getting flashbacks to Superman telling Darkseid how he’s always holding back, and only gets to cut loose with Darkseid or rarely. Doomsday is one of those exceptions.

@@fuzz134 I don't know about that man, hals tough but single handily taking doomsday on seems a bit out of his league to me. He'd give a better fight than he showed here but one thing I've learned about comic characters are they're wildly inconsistent depending on who writes them. I tend to judge them on how they appear in general rather than big outlying feats, otherwise you gotta accept that say hulk for example could stalemate the sentry but he's also lost to daredevil. Both happened but people tend to ignore that they were both pretty situational wins and use them to prop up their reasons for why they'd win/lose a fight. All I know for sure is if you hit doomsday hard enough and you can take what he dishes out you can beat him but you need Superman level stats to pull it off, hals best chance is to try and throw him in the sun tbh

The strongest thing there is Proto-Adamantium, which is what Captain America's shield is made of (and yes, it's much stronger than primary adamantium like Wolverine's skeleton or secondary adamantium, a form weak enough that the likes of Hulk or Thor can break it with a lot of effort). Gotta love Diana's effort to take down Doomsday. Shit even in the Comic the outcome with Justice League fighting Doomsday was pure hell. No matter how much people hate on Superman aka Kal. He had to take Doomsday out. It's funny to think about Doomsday knocked out Darkseid once. Doomsday is a freight train out of control at full speed.
Funnier when you consider just how badly he beat Darkseid as well. Superman had to use a Mother Box to heal him...which, in turn, allowed Darkseid to make Cyborg Superman know regret.
He didn't just knock him out. He no sold the Omega Beams and beat him to the verge of death. Supes with that motherbox is the only reason he survived. And despite what the Darkseid fanboys like to lie about, it was NOT an avatar. The writer confirmed it was a real Darkseid.

I don't think we can really tell unless they tell us either in story or in interviews with writers (the latter being the situation with Hunter/Prey where Doomsday owned Darkseid). JL War is an adaptation from a comic, but the animated movies eventually diverge significantly from the comics they're adapted to. Like this bit of Doomsday being Darkseid's creation was exclusive to the movies. Each adaptation seems to be its own thing, so sometimes Darkseid is just Darkseid, sometimes he's an avatar of a higher being, sometimes he's an avatar but with the true form accessible (Final Crisis). In the comics, without any other information, I tend to assume he's an avatar. With stuff like movies and TV shows, there's never any hint he's an avatar, and it seems safe to assume the form we see is his true self. They might always change it later, but the whole "just an avatar" thing has always been only a part of the comics canon AFAIK.
