I have finished sumeru story quest I can tell that this is sadder imagine you only had one friend and she trusts you but people hated you like her family and then one day you just left and never see her again for decades and imagine seeing your friend again "sorry for the bad grammar

I liked this story quest actually
I liked it a lot
It basically one of the few story quest that are actually about their story instead of npc.
The SQ is the definition of a roller-coaster of emotion
This story quest had no business hitting this close to home... People who are considered physically ugly will always be scorned and despised, no matter what they do. And when they do become the bad people that the world has always perceived them to be, no one will second guess the motive about it or their backstory, they will be just that - one dimensional villains. Take Otto Apocalypse for example. If his face was unattractive, he'd quickly go from a well written villain with a motive, that did everything for the girl he loved to an evil creep who couldn't accept reality, and no one would bat an eye to his reasons for committing atrocities. Now, Sigewinne is a beautiful person, as well as physically cute, but do you think she would have remained a beautiful person on the inside had she failed to save her friend? She only managed to save her because she changed her appearance first.
And also, Paimon is disgusting me more and more with each patch. First being awful to Furina in her story quest, and now changing her tune as soon as she saw Patton's real face.
Human still is just animal
Affected and attactted by appearance is our instict
Our intelligent not deny it but just make us not completly focus on only appearanc
So doesn’t matter how much the society try to deny it by moral , at the end of the day, appearance still is how we ussually use to see people around us
It can’t change and will not change until human evolution to some state where our instict and psychological change

I'm still confused to the part that when Patton's mother touch sigewinnes hand and she said "it's you" does that mean patton's mother is the old friend of sigewinne? or nah
The friend had passed away hundreds of years ago. Potton's mother is a separate person - she recognized Sigewinne's hand because Sigewinne treated her fever during her first visit together with Traveler and Paimon.

And to expand on what the other person said. She didn’t recognize Patton because the “warmth” in his hand (The sincere and kind person he was before becoming a villain himself) was gone.

To me i agree that it should be a crime to change your species to a human and vice versa. I wish fontaine would keep that as a rule because it is instrinsically disordered
First off, Sigewinne's backstory is just another lazy retelling of The Little Mermaid as if the Oceanids and Furina didn't already have their own versions. Secondly Sigewinne is deemed guilty for altering her Melisine appearance into that of a human even though the Oceanids have used Primordial seawater to become humans themselves which put them into Celestia's crosshairs, this just proves that Egeria should never have granted these ungrateful Oceanids humanity cause the human-supremacism and their racism towards anyone non-human is just too strong in Fontaine as a whole.
