Jesse, you chiropractor had no more idea than you about your back pain. Chiropractic is a pseudo-science. (Yeah I found out about it by accident when I was talking with a friend about another pseudoscience and accidentally called it Chiropractic)
As for Spiritfarer, I played it, and I absolutely LOVED IT. It's exactly my type of cozy game. An actual cozy game where I can play to my own rythm, not one that tries to be a stardew valley like sp many others. And I had SO MANY FEELINGS. Even characters I thought I disliked ended up making me cry. (Except one)

I read Abby’s books out of order too and it didn’t take away from anything. I LOVED Yours Truly.

I’m surprised more people don’t know about this book. The Censored Guide to Wealth on Bovolorus is unreal

Currently reading Not Forgotten by Kenneth Bae. It follows his journey being a missionary in North Korea and how he was imprisoned after finding a hard drive in his bag when he visited the country. I am a little over 100 pages into it and have been just in awe at his spirit to be perfectly honest.

I'm currently reading The Dispossessed, by Ursula K Le Guin (audio) and What If? 2, by Randall Munroe (physical) which are somewhat different vibes.

Just started reading "Parable of the Talents" by Octavia E. Butler yesterday, and 55 pages in I'm honestly convinced she was clairvoyant because that book was published in 1998, and it references a presidential candidate who likes to say "Make America great again" and I just...this duology is going to break my mind.

I think cozy games can evoke emotions and still be cozy. I've only played the demo of it but I've heard very positive things.
I'm glad you found some new favorite books! I'm currently reading The Bridge Kingdom by Danielle L Jensen. It has similar political elements that The Cruel Prince had which I loved and missed in a fantasy romance.

Spiritfarer is such a good game! It has similar vibes to me as The Whispering Door by TJ Klune: both have a comfortable vibe, but both explore death in a way that feels approachable, kind, but also pulls on your heartstrings because they are incredibly honest.
Also, definitely read Part of Your World. I won't explain why because I want you to be able to go in blind, but it will give you some context for the characters involved in Emma's part of the B plot in Just for the Summer.

Hi Jesse: If you read the first three Abby Jimenez books starting with The Friend Zone, don't read them out of order. Read The Friend Zone first before tackling Happy Ever After Playlist.
I am currently reading You Made a Fool of Death with Your Beauty by Akwaeke Emezi which was the choice of my book group. It reads like how a literary author would write a romance. Good writing, but I'm not loving the heroine.

Same! I do not get the love interests that are jerks.😭 Makes me really sad actually (and angry, usually😅). And edit: I think the sweet, thoughtful, *not-jerky* love interests are a big reason Emily Henry and Abby Jimenez books are so lovable.

Just barely into the video where you're talking about your camera never focusing on you while you're in your car and honestly how rude of the camera tbh. Why do lenses gotta be like that? If you can't tell, autofocus irritates me sometimes.
Coming back at the end and my dad just gave me a weird look cause I forgot to censor myself and not say the outro as you did while I was watching the video with my headphones on. I feel judged.

i don’t know why this book is so hard to find, but after finally getting Vibrations of Manifestation by Alex Lane, i get why they don’t want this out there. it breaks down exactly why most people stay stuck, and once you see it, you can’t unsee it. since reading it, my whole life has shifted. the secrets inside are worth the effort.
