Dear heavenly father i pray and hope u give me the strength wisdom and opportunity to become a truck driver. Amen..... Im almost done with school had to pause for a bit because of the virus . But today i go back to school hope all goes well..
Congratulations!! It’s a great thing to possess a CDL and to be a good trucker out on the road. Hope and pray that everything goes well for you. Be safe, take care of yourself and enjoy the ride! 🥰
Dude. I watched a couple of your videos this morning when I woke up. Went to take the test just before lunch and guess what. I passed. Thanks for throwing this video out. Thank you
I got my CDLA back in 2016 here at JTech. The training there is ABSOLUTELY TOP NOTCH by far!!! The Gentleman in this video; Mr. Ricks was extremely awesome 👏🏿 and serious when it came to teaching and explaining all components very well!!! It was absolutely an honor to have him as the head man and lead instructor. I, myself am now a CDL INSTRUCTOR @ champion truck driving school in Largo, Florida. This is one of the videos that I will forward to all my students and prospective future students. BY FAR THE BEST AND MOST ACCURATE VIDEO OUT HERE STILL TILL THIS DAY!!! Question 🙋🏿♂️??? IS RICKS STILL INSTRUCTING THERE??? I miss him and would love to thank him personally. My nickname there was “FUEL PUMP” 🤦🏿♂️… people of my class will definitely understand where that came from…. Inside joke 🤣🤣
This J tech video is awesome, I studied the general knowledge, combination vehicle and air brakes test on line and passed the first time. This video is going to allow me to be ahead of many people in my class when I go to CDL truck driving training school next month. I like the way you point to each item with your stick and demonstrate how to find parts hoses components nuts and bolts. This is by far the best pre trip video I've seen, you break it down with good grammar and you speak slowly, this makes it so much easier to remember and understand This is a five star demonstration!!
I am studying this daily, I have a crush on this man. He speaks clear, and slow. I'm half way memorize now. When I have this pre trip inspection down I'll be going to CDL school.
THANK YOU Mr. Ricks & crew. I just now have decided to move forward with getting my CDL ( just turned 57) I have a intellectual disability & learning SUCKS for me & testing is WAY WORSE . The videos from this company are slow, clear, & full of valuable information. Even the camera person does a great job....THANK YOU. My stress level was at 95 % ( & I trust & believe in GOD....but facts are FACTS, I can't be calm when learning or testing ) & now it's at about a 4 % ......THANKS & GOD BLESS YOU ALL. I will be recommending you all to MANY people. I AM SO GRATEFUL
I have been a CDL holder for about a year and I went to the JTech training and I must say that these instructors ROCK! it took me to pass each section twice but I passed and I'm glad I did. All 3 parts and I was so scared and nervous I cried and thought I would fail lol #TRUESTORY!
Lisa Alexander I have CDL PERMIT My dream is to be like you ! My background is in Transportation business also in Technical field ! Keep me in your prayers dear take care 💒
Thank you for putting these videos out there. I'm currently 8 weeks in (Smith and Solomon), and take my road test in 5 days. I bonded with all my "cousins" in my class, and all of us, the class behind us, the class before us, all felt the same way - shot nerves...lol I have alot of this memorized, but it's hard not to forget something from in cab inspection, engine compartment, 5th wheel/coupling, trailer, glad-hands, landing gear. It's ALOT to memorize, but anyone going through it, it does get easier. Just take 10 minutes to pre-trip every morning in the yard before class begins, and you'll be glad you did come test time
cdl test ? this absolutely the best vid for you just got my license a week ago without this vid I'll never be able to pass the pre trip inspection thanks a lot to whom ever put this video up really appreciate you
Thank you J-tech, I’ve watched several videos on pre trip inspections and your videos are the most complete of any. Again, thank you from a Nebraska driver.
Thank you so much for this great video I used it to learn pre-trip and I passed my test yesterday. I learned more from your video than I did from my CDL school.
CDL - CLEAN/(NOT)CRACKED , DAMAGED, LOOSE ABC- ABRASIONS, BUMPS, CUTS PMS- PROPERLY MOUNTED & SECURE AND ANYTHING WITH LIQ OR AIR NOT LEAKING. THAT SHOULD HELP. HELPED ME
I graduated JTech and am at orientation for a company now. I'm watching the pre-trip videos just to study up and make sure I don't make myself look like an idiot when I do it for the company tomorrow.
These are awesome videos. For those not with J-Tech, be aware that your specific state will want very specific things. I’m in Illinois, many things are different but I still got a lot from these. Awesome job, J-Tech 👏
@Calvin allen Who told you they don't take Floridians? I'll ask right now for you. I've never heard that. If you want, it might be easier to email. Raydelsoltarot@gmail.com You can ask all the questions you want.
I want to thank you and the guy from Apex for giving me all the necessary tools to fly through my exams like I was an instructor because I was just that good by the time I got into school. I was beyond advanced when I started just from the videos and my final results showed that...thanks!!!
I just wanted th thank J Tech for the awesome videos on pre trip. They try;y helped me in getting my commercial drivers license here in California. Great Job guys.....
Nice tour of a diesel engine and its components. The air compressor and the brakes are different from gasoline engines/cars. And also that giant fuel filter.
Thank you so much for your videos I passed my test today I really think you should do one more with the trailer and tractor connected and go around the truck 👍🏿👍🏿you totally knocked it out of the park ... it was worded very well thanks again God bless anybody trying to do it you definitely can
Look out newbies, here's a tip to maximize efficiency on these videos: Watch one section beginning to end, then rewind (example: initial approach, unique side, coolant through steering shaft, power steering system, steering linkage system, suspension system, brake system, brake pads through hub seal). Repeat each group until you feel comfortable then move to next group. Revisit previous groups periodically to freshen up and maintain. Before you know it, you'll have A Card memorized.
Thank you for this! Because it does seem a little overwhelming to have to memorize all of this but like you say get one section at a time memorized then move on to the next section doesn’t seem as overwhelming. 👍🏽Appreciate this helpful tip. 🤗
Thank you for posted this video on the RUclips. Also you speaking very clearly , a lot of people talking English the way is not easy to understand , I'm keeping to follow you good job thanks a lot for your courtesy .
Thank you .You have got me out of a jam i was looking for those parts only have one more week before the pre-trip test thank you for sharing this video
I thought the pre-trip would break me!😵 I'm not(wasn't) mechanically inclined so when I passed this, my confidence shot through the roof! Mr. Ricks was with me when I blew that horn after passing my road trip. Very emotional for me since my Momma had passed the year before 😢. Thank you Mr. Ricks for the kind words that day. I'll never forget that moment. 😊 Looking at this now to refresh my memory 2 months removed from school. I want to be prepared in case I get pulled over for a DOT Inspection. Thanks JTech & all you instructors! - Class of February 2019 👊
Think you for showing exactly what we need to look at and show the examiner. seen so many videos they just tell you and don't move the camera or point it out.
This video is amazing. Thank you so much! In my book the pictures are too dark to see where's what. But you helped me find what I was looking for instead of guessing thank you.
Thank you so much for this video and all that u have regarding to the pre-trip inspection it really help me a lot God Bless each one of you in the name of Jesus
Thanks, Mr. Ricks!!!!! Though I'm going to another school now, and the CRST training wasn't the right fit for me, your pre-trip videos are the best ones I can find, and the pre-trip papers version of the video is great too, which I got from other students at school after they passed their pre-trip exam! KICK ASS!
Sherrod Rocky This is a good one. It has pictures. I'm a bra, not bro lolz!! I hope the thing helps you. Just relax as best you can for your test. I got the whole truck and didn't miss anything. You'll be fine! 😃

you don't have to mention everything. important thing to know is you know how to drive a truck also how to reverse a trailer
same
190 things to remember for an Entire pre trip inspection of the truck
just say everything you see and you will be fine
Did you passed it?
I like how he explain everything
So basically just say " *part* is properly mounted and secured and is not cracked, bent or broken." and I pass?
Yes
No! It's way more complicated then that!
You forgot to make sure all the nuts and bolts are present and tight.
I
rubber - not cracked dry rotted Steel - not cracked bent or broken no illegal welds
