I know what you're saying is true. My husband and I have been married 19 years and when we fight fair we grow. We havent always used the tools but when we do it is phenomenal. Thanks for being a positive force in my life #peace
Beautiful advice. After living in a toxic relationship for 8 years I wouldn't take more than a tone 4 in an argument. Anything can be said without screaming and degrading a person anything, specially if that person is 2 feet away from you. I refuse to live a life in war.
Was in a heat of an argument with my boyfriend, was so fired up n thought I might listen 2 u. N u just gave me the best advice. Just the sound of your voice is soothing enough. Thank you for sharing your gift. God bless u beautiful.🙏
Reminds me when I disagreed with my ex over infidelity and he used his current girlfriend to insult me using confidential information I had shared only with him. NOTE: Fight fair
I love you , you are a teacher that teaches me now in my life. I am your follower even on Facebook, my name there is Rozh Tofiq. God bless you miss Iyanla.
love what you said about fighting fairly. My question then is, if those points cannot be reached in an argument. wouldn't it be wise to sever this relationship? I so want out, thank you, thank you.
I can be a familiar friend but I can't be a tactful lover. Out of our friendship We can see. Out of love I will shift through the emotions with you. If all directions follow toxicity he is too. Quack like a duck. -Shanell Cali
Omg I have done this all to my partner I have broken him and I feel bad but now he has shut down he don’t open up to me I think he’s trying to protect his heart but how do I get him to open back up to me it’s so hard that’s only the beginning 🤦🏾♀️we don’t want to leave but it’s so much and we are not happy around each other anymore but we do love each other
My partner and I have successfully sort through issues in this exact way - we used to have absolutely explosive arguments and armed ourselves (his sarcasm and in retaliation my history lesson on everything that he had done wrong). We now know and have educated on ourselves how not to argue and rather resolve an issue/conflict that is plaguing our relationship. It's hard at first but it most definitely can be done through absolute commitment to a better relationship.
