Helpful video, thanks! I might be missing someone here, but the lift kit offered by Rocky Road is 1.25", I am looking at their 1991-95 Long Wheel Base Montero kit. Is this what you used here?

So did you do 1 notch or 2 in the front to get your final ride height? About to do this in the next week or two. Thanks!

When you put your boot on the rear suspension to force it down to get the spring out, did you notice the rubber brake line that droops down from the upper portion of the rig? On mine, this pressure on the axle on one side would almost rip that brake line apart.....I had to loosen it at the clip up above to allow it to flex a bit more. Better check....you may have damaged your upper brake line.

    • @crazeyspivey

Yep.....at the 3 min mark, I could see that poor rubber brake line being stretched like an old rubber band......SNAP! Pop goes the Weasel!

You’re right. I usually grease up all my serviceable fittings every oil change until I hear it start to come out and I move on. I should probably clean those up.

    • @halonjim6788

I would go with the 1.5” so there is less wear on your cv joints

You do 4 inch or even 6 inch lifts on this type of suspension, but then you have to replace a lot more than just coils and shocks. $1000 upgrade turns into a $4000 upgrade for only a few more inches

All of the parts are hyper specific from generation to generation so I don’t think it will fit. However the procedure is probably very similar.
